Hey, Fran!

Have you ever heard of Lucy Minerals?? If you look it up online you will be able to find her website. It is the BEST mineral makeup I have ever used! I have had the worst acne breakout ever and when I used this, it covered up EVERYTHING! Even when I talked about how bad my skin was, some of my friends would say they never even noticed that my face was breaking out or that I even had a problem with acne. It covers up redness SOOO well and has great vitamins and anti-oxidants which help the skin. So if you haven't heard about Lucy Minerals, I really encourage you to look her up! The gal's name is Anne and she has a home base in Florida. SO nice and even battled with acne herself!

Hi Amanda,

I find that mineral make-up can look cakey very easily.

What I tend to do is put a very small amount on first. Then maybe another small layer or two.

Really buffing the make-up in with your brush helps even it out and look less cakey. Though I think the key is to use small amounts of it.

Hey Fran!
So, unfortunatley, I have pretty bad acne (I'm only 15, and i've been working for a cure for 5 years!) but my question is about makeup, and it looking "cakey". I use mineral makeup, but no matter how much I put on, my face always looks "cakey" because of my skin texture and my big pores. I use a face primer that claims to fill in pores, and improve skin texture, but fails to actually do that! So, I was wondering if you, or anybody here could reccommend a pore tightener, or a face primer to wear under my mineral makeup so it doesn't look cakey! Thanks! :)

Like chelle I was wondering what would be the best way to use mineral make-up to reduce acne bumps? At the moment I use very little make-up on them as lots of just seems to make the bumps look worse!

I've been using mineral makeup for the past few years (never wore any makeup at all but was becoming increasingly self-conscious about my acne) and completely agree with you. It's best not to wear it whenever possible. Even tinted moisturisers are a bit of a bother.

I was wondering, where does one find organic papaya gel? I cannot buy it locally nor can I seem to find any online. I currently use a concealer brush and blend accordingly with the kabuki brush, but I am curious to try a "wet" method.
