Are You “Sick” Or Are You “Cleansing”?

It’s not often that I record a video in response to negative comments, BUT in this case I felt as though I hadn’t properly explained myself or my situation properly in regards to being sick often while I’ve been living in Peru. In this video I talk about how me being sick is often a cleansing of my emotional, energetic and of course physical self. And how sometimes this wee little illness can in fact be a blessing.

[..YouTube..] I admire you Fran going on this adventure! I am not sure if I can live with in such a life style where I have to watch out for parasites in my water. How are you finding natural healers? Or how can you recognize the real deal from a fraud? How do you communicate there? What are you doing in your sessions with the healers? Lot of hugs

[..YouTube..] Just wondering: do you speak Spanish?

And btw, super interesting topic. I had a really bad period when it comes to health last year, I got a cold every two months xD Then I decided to relax and let my body do whatever it needed to do. I remembered about animals, like cats, who purge themselves, and understood that it’s ok to take a break every now and then, and that’s exactly what our bodies are telling us to do when we get sick.

Hi Fran,

I don’t know who left you a negative comment, but I suppose some people find it hard accepting the fact that a website entitled High on Health doesn’t always propose “quick fix” solutions to people’s health issues. The fact is, when you evoke sickness, or not always being on top of things physically, you’re actually daring to address people’s biggest fear, which is that underneath a number of physical ailments there lie unresolved emotional and or even spiritual issues, and in order to achieve overall well-being and health, those issues need to be confronted. Unfortunately, western medicine says the exact opposite.
Holistic health is all about the big picture. Ok, you’re sick today, but if you learn to listen to your body and soul and spirit, you’re going to heal and become even stronger than you were before.

Anyway, keep doing what you’re doing. It can be pretty challenging and humbling to listen to your videos, and maybe some people aren’t ready to work on their emotions and inner selves yet. But you don’t have to justify yourself.

:-) Christelle

silvershine699- our town is full of them! I’d say about 8 out of 10 “gringos” that live here have some type of healing modality. AND they’re all really good.

Resilience1983- I’m learning. And thank you for saying that, my espanol has been TERRIBLE since I returned from the US so I need to get back into my study.

Christelle- you are lovely and amazing. Thank you for your comment :) x

Fran I really admire you.

I have been travelling a bit lately, recently to Port Moresby. The condition of life there has prompted me to question whether the search for individual healing is at times self-indulgent and self-centred. Perhaps by repeatedly seeking healing I am convincing myself that there is something that needs to be healed, when in reality I am happy, healthy and lucky when there are so many in the world without food, basic medical care or justice. After a long journey towards individual health I would like to push this quest to the side and poor energy into other people. I think this is what makes me feel healthier than any healing treatment.

[..YouTube..] I know what you’re going through Fran! I’ve been doing a lot of womb healing bec I realized I was carrying a lot of stress and negativity in my womb. So I’ve been doing different meditations and exercises to get that energy flowing properly. But in the course of doing that I actually made myself have a yeast infection! I know it’s just my body cleansing but ohhh how it sucks haha! I hope you feel better! Make sure you’re staying hydrated! My prays are with you, take care!

[..YouTube..] If anyone is interested in an alternative on the 2012 calendar concept, from a unique perspective that is outside of the more commercialized Mayan doomsday stuff (that Mayan elders have stated publicly is a misunderstood version btw), search Ian Xel Lungold’s 3-part videos. Long, but with some gems that can be paradigm shifting in understanding how time is perceived and used.

Hi Fran,

I just ran accross your youtube videos. I just started doing weekly 32 to 36 hour water/green tea fasts, actually 5 five in total so far. After my last fast I experienced a 12 hour period of diahhrea, which started about 30 minutes after breaking the fast. I am not sure it was due to the food that I consummed to break the fast, which as a healthy, but not huge size omelet or my body was going through a sort of detox. There was alot of bile that was expelled during that time. My gut tells me that my body was merely cleansing. What do you think? Also, about 20 – 22 hours into the fasts I’ve notice a tingling/light vibrating sensation in my solar plexus and third eye chakras. Could you tell me if that is normal. Love and Light – Glo
