Can You Be Acne Free In 3 Days?

Acne Free in 3 Days BookPrice: $39.95
Rating: ★★★★☆
Website: Acne Free in 3 Days

If you haven’t heard about this Acne Free In 3 Days guide then I’ll be surprised because it’s almost saturated the acne market.

I thought it was about time that I reviewed it, because if you’re like me then you’ve always been skeptical of this product but a part of you is tempted to purchase it in case it actually works!

What I also like about this guide is that it’s 100% natural, so that means no taking medications and no using topical creams or gels. Anything that has the ability to clear acne without putting unnatural stuff onto or into your body is awesome.

Do I think you can really be acne free in 3 days? Well, my answer may surprise you. I actually do think that this guide can work for some people. Better still – I full believe that it is possible to clear acne in those cases as quickly as 3 days.

So who will it work for? Well, it really depends on why you’re getting acne in the first place.

Chris GibsonThis guide will work the best for those who have acne from a Candida overgrowth, or for those with an average diet.

If you have a Candida overgrowth you may not know it. But if you’ve been on a course of antibiotics in the past and you still have persistent acne, then you are a possible candidate. There are also a heap of other things that can lead to a candida overgrowth, including taking certain medications (the contraceptive pill gave it to me), and eating a lot of the wrong combinations of foods.

Chris GibsonAn average diet means eating a lot of sugary foods, refined foods (white bread, pasta and rice), processed foods, takeaways, greasy and fatty foods. As a whole your diet may not look that bad but often to fully clear the skin you need to eliminate most of these foods (especially sugar) and fill your diet with fresh whole foods.

Anyway, here is my video review:

As I mentioned in the video, $40 to purchase the guide isn’t a lot considering how much we spend on treatments as acne sufferers, and it may just work for you.

If you’d like to purchase your own copy and get started, click on this link!

If you’d like to discuss with me whether or not you think this guide will work well for you, please write a comment in the box below and we can work that out together.

Fran, if this guy who wrote this book is making alot of money off it, theres no reason you couldn’t be doing twice as good.
Your honest. Your sincere. You mean well. Your very knowledgable and bright. You have been through it yourself so you have experimented. You care about your audience.

I agree with Andy and Taylor, Fran! You are definitely amazing! Thanks for the great review on this book.

How big is this book?

A couple of pages or like a full length book.

#5 Ken on 04.10.08 at 1:00 am

What I mean is the actual steps. I honestly dont want to read a 300+ page book if it doesn’t work.

#6 Fran on 04.10.08 at 8:19 am

Hi Ken, it’s like a small full length book, but the start is Chris’s story which is very long and takes up a lot of pages! You can scroll through (it’s a PDF) to all the good stuff which starts at about the middle.

Hmm..i think that might actually be my problem.i’ve spend thousands and thousands of dollars on allll these different products.and they “seem” to work at first.but then it just comes back. i’ve tried looking up just what this “candida” is exactly.but i cant get any info!!! any sites or links to an article about it?

hello Fran!
i just read the book and I want to do the 3day apple fast but I am scared, i am just 16 years old and the enema does not sound very pleasent, i dont know I have no problem doing the other things but if I dont do the enema would doing the apple fast be worthless’?

#10 Fran on 04.30.08 at 6:10 am

Hi Hernan, you can just start eating well which is a lot safer. I think that 16 can be too young for such an intense detox.

You could also visit a medical professional such as a doctor or naturopath and ask for advice.

Remember, don’t do anything you don’t want to do!

#11 Gary on 05.04.08 at 6:43 am

Very fearful of losing weight. I am only abut 5′7, 140. I am 36, been on an antibiotic for 17 + years. Is there a more “mild” detox anyone can recommend? Desperate for help, love you Fran.

I purchased a product called “Candistroy” at Whole Foods, here in the US. I have been on a form of Tetracycline to control my acne for decades – over 15 years actually. I’m not a large person, and thought the 3 day candida detox was a bit harsh.

The Candistroy is a two part Candida cleanse. 1 supplement is a probiotic, and the other is a combination of herbs to destroy the Candida.

I haven’t taken my antibiotc in about 10 days, and my skin still looks very good. Luck? Who knows. I have tried to stop it many many times in the past, and I either break out immediately, or within a short time.

I hope this works. Wish me luck.

#13 Fran on 05.13.08 at 9:19 am

Good luck Gary!! Anything that works better than or just as well as acnefreein3days is great, because as you said – that detox is a bit harsh.

#14 Jill on 05.14.08 at 7:13 am

How harsh? I have spent a TON of $ on stuff! As a kid I never had this problem and about 3 years ago it just started. I can link several things to the candida stuff and I am a Middle School math teacher at 27 years old. The kids can be harsh with a teacher going through this. I just want it gone and above all it is VERY painful! I mean I can’t even sleep! Drs just are not helping anymore. I dont want to pay another $40 if is too harsh to do. But, Drs are pushing acutane again, I may want to have another child so I really don’t want to do that. By the way I just found this site today and I love it!!! Thanks for all your had work!!

#15 Eric on 05.17.08 at 11:35 pm

I bought the program acnefreein3days back when i was so desperate to get clean. I have had acne since im 12 years old, now im 22. i also bought the instruments they sell you on the website of them so you can follow their program. I did the program exactly as the book said and guess what? i didnt get clean, my acne was somehow better because it wasnt as intense as before, but it still was there. So i tried to do it the next month, just like the book asks you if you dont get clean in 3 days, and the same results. Lastly, i did it the 3rd month and got the same results. I tried to communicate with them about this to see if i was doing anything wrong and they never answered me back. This really pissed me off!

PEOPLE LISTEN: Chris Gibson is a business man, he really doesnt care if you get clean, he only cares about your money being spent on his book and his products. If you look around the web for acnefreein3days reviews (something i found after i bought the program) youll find this kind of response from the majority of people.

SO PLEASE DONT LET THIS GUY GET RICH AT YOUR EXPENSES. RESEARCH FOR REVIEWS OF THIS AND OTHER PROGRAMS BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING.

#16 Eric on 05.17.08 at 11:38 pm

My acne after the program got back to were it was originally in about 1 week aproximately, although i follow a somehow healthy diet.

#17 Fran on 05.18.08 at 8:34 am

Hi Eric,

I’m sorry that it didn’t work for you. This is the biggest problem with his system, he makes it out that it’s going to work for everyone when of course it won’t. It will ONLY clear acne that quickly if you have Candida (obviously you didn’t), and for others, you need to eat super healthy to maintain your skin being better after the detox or even get a chance of clearing your skin completely.

Honestly, I think Chris is partially a business man, but partially just misinformed. I actually think he believes that everybody has acne from Candida. Just because it worked so well for him, I think he is just in this mindset that it will also work for everbody else. NOT so.

I think that’s also really terrible how they ignored your emails.

#18 Eric on 05.18.08 at 12:15 pm

Yeah, well i’m totally with you on this one fran, his course may work for some people but not for others.

At least i thought i had a candida problem, which made my acne possible because, first of all, since i was 12 until i was 21 i had been on antibiotics (pills, creams…) because of acne. This used to controll my acne until i was 18 when it came back with a vengeance. Until then i had tried everything including blue light treatment and fototherapy (i think thats the name of it) except accutane. I was going to try accutane until the doctor gave me the warning book doctors are supposed to give you, with all the list of possible short and long term side effects, plus all the reviews i have researched from the net.

About a year ago, i read “Natural Cures they dont want you to know”, and although it made me see a choice in holistic medicine, it didnt had a well made program for acne. However, I decided to stop with the antibiotics which i have always hated to take. Once i stopped, my acne exploded even more, and i was so desperate that i came on to gibsons website and bought the book.

Once i got no response from gibsons crew (i sent them many emails) and saw that his program didnt worked for me, i decided to research on the internet on different forums. Let me tell you, theres many people so desperate that will put even urine on their face. This wont combat the root of acne so it wont help on the long run. I also researched many websites were there were sellers like gibson giving their ebooks at a cost (they are mostly around 40-60$). Im soooo sick of people saying their trying to help you at a cost; they will help you, but it will cost you; everything has a cost in life and theres bills these people got to pay.

However, i came up with a guy who was going to give free copies of the final draft of the book he was going to sell in some months so that people could tell them what they think, and i learned a lot from this guy because his main ingredient for getting clear was simple: live a healthy life. Not healthy diet, not excersice + diet, but healthy life which covers these and many other aspects. This is what the meaning of holistic is all about: holistic=whole. Not only treat symptoms, or worry about a specific part of your body being illed (in the case of acne you could be thinking about the kidneys or the liver), the truth is, as i understand it, that it would be impossible to have acne with a good healthy lifestyle. The key here is to bring your body into a good healthy form so that it can work correctly, and be able to defend himself by itself. herbs and detoxes, all of these may help, but in the long run is your body the one that will dictate. Acne, when the body is not healthy, is a way for the body to try to get rid of many toxins in it, so keep that in mind.

However it is, i have my doubts about this program also, because it evades the hormone debate of acne, which i think is something that can give you acne when youre on your teens, however, if your acne still persists until your adulthood, i think it is because your body is not properly functioning the way it should as a whole.

Another reason why i thought my acne could be caused by candida was because i developed irritable bowel syndrome (something like that) by the age of 18, just when my acne began to get worse. Right now, i am on a fiber strict diet and eat very healthy: green vegetables, other vegetables, lots of fruits, fish (omega 3 is the best!!!) and white meat only, and my irritable bowel syndrome has dissapeared for about 3 months. keep in mind that its not what you eat, but what you dont eat what really makes the difference. From that time on, my acne has gotten NATURALLY and significantly better. I also do excersice at least 3 times a week, do yoga, i try to not get stressed, i get some sun exposure a day just to get my daily natural vitamin D (not to much exposure as this may get your acne worst) i do breathing excersices to relax, i dance salsa, have happy thoughts even when theres an ugly pimple in my face (im positive it will go away), i make sure to sleep at least 8 hours a day (sometimes this seems difficult to make), etc…and only take a zinc supplement.

My face is not perfect yet, nor will it be, but im proud to say it has gotten better naturally, without, for example, forcing my organs to do things that can irritate them (detoxes). However, i have had to be patient and positive, as i have taken the long road to get clear, but my guess is, that its the only road that will truly keep me clear. In other ways, i have not been sick since i started this kind of healthy living program, i feel much more happy (i used to get depressed constantly), i feel more energetic, and, most of all, dont miss my bad habits at all.

Sorry for this long testimonial, hope it helps, i am also visiting a naturopath which helps a ton. He has made me exams to see how my entire body is working. I really recommend them if you can afford them.

#19 Eric on 05.18.08 at 12:16 pm

I would not look for the quick fix, but look to construct a healthier you which is better in the long run.

#20 NICOLAS on 05.18.08 at 8:49 pm

in my opinion, acne free in 3 days is great ebook. of course, you can’t be free of acne in 3 three days. But if you take your time to read the book and the entire story and do some research on CANDIDA through google or whatever. You’ll find it is not easy to get rid of it. the 3 days juice fast is just the fastest way to eliminate the yeast overgrowth. After the 3 days fast juice, we need to strengthen our body by taking probitic so that way we can keep all the yeast under control because most of our beneficial bacteria is killed when we take antibiotic. Also the MIRACLE BOOK bonus is great too. It is an unvaluable book if we know how to take advantage of it. and Dear Eric , i think you should do some more research on Candida and how to get rid of it. It is not that simple to overcome Candida in just 3 days since its been in our system for years. hope this help Lol..

#21 Skeptical? on 05.19.08 at 9:46 am

I’ve read all over that the Acne Free program is basically a scam – he’s charging $40 for information on an apple fast, which can easily be found for free online. There are plenty of websites online that teach homeopathic cleansing methods without charging anything. It’s a decent idea, I think, just very poorly executed. There’s little to no way you can permanently heal acne in three days, though it’s seems like a decent method for flushing out toxins.

#22 NICOLAS on 05.19.08 at 9:25 pm

i agree. Chris is a business man after all. But thanks to him i know that i have candida in my body. As i do some research on Cadida via internet. If the yeast overgrowth and release toxin in my body in a long period of time, it can do a lot of damage and can lead to some serious disease such as diabetes, cancer, or high blood pressure. And really the candida is hard to get rid of depanding on the level of the yeast overgrowth or how long it is in your body. Some people have been fighting it for years without success in the worst case. Fortunately, i heard that there is news product called threelac that works quite well with candida. Im about to try that one . I also dont think the 3 days apple fast alone can beat candida . IT is just simply clean your internal body and make the yeast weaker . After the 3 days apple fast we need to take probiotic to attack all the yeast. why dont we just take probiotic to kill the yeast alone ? the answer is as we take antibiotic before which kill all our benefit bacteria and the yeast take control our body . Its growing and become stronger . So if we just take probiotic to kill it. the probiotic will become the yeast food and just make the situation worse. Im not a doctor , but all this infomation is true as i was really worried about my health, i did a lot of research on Candida . So i have good a new method to treat candida ( i think its really effective) which is the combination of Fast juice and Threelac probiotic. Im pretty confident that i can beat Candida with this method lol… as i notice i have all the Candida symptom for at least 5 years. And its really ruined my life not the acne. i feel tired and like an old man all the time. So thanks to the Acne Free In 3 Days , i have the idea of my other health problem not just acne all alone. Indeed, Candida is not something that we want to live with . Anyone who read my comment please test yourself if you think you have candida http://www.road-to-health.com/am/publish/article_150.shtml . Good luck guys

Ironically enough, all these acne products are focused on your face. When the issue is often deeper. If you have poor diet or internal problems, your body has to release it somehow, so it comes out in acne, sweat, bad breath, foul flatulence, etc. You should definitely look into colon cleansers to help remedy some of these problems. Always try and treat the underlying cause, and not just the symptom.

#28 Jen on 06.28.08 at 11:17 am

Sara, what you have in mind is not safe, and is in fact quite dangerous. I have had acne for about 8 years now, and luckily antibiotics have helped, but there is a reason why there is a particular dose labelled on your antibiotics bottle!!

Please DO NOT take them more often, or at a higher dosage than what your derm has told you to take. Your liver needs time to break down those drugs and then distribute it all around your body. If you take more, you may be at a risk of overdosing and substance abusing.

I understand you are desperate for a quick fix. Everyone with acne is. But don’t risk your liver as well. Just give the antibiotics 6 weeks and if all goes well you will be extremely happy that you waited. Good luck!

#29 Candice on 07.15.08 at 10:13 pm

Heya Fran,
Thanks for the review.
Basically my acne is cystic, which i believe it to be stress related above all else. do you belive this book would help me. I’m also on roacutane but will try ANYTHING to look better now rather than in 5 months of hellish treatment.
Cheers,
Candice ;)

#30 Fran on 07.16.08 at 12:02 am

Hi Candice,

Roaccutane is a very harsh drug on the system, so I don’t think the acnefreein3days diet will be a good one for you right now. It involves a heavy detox which I think will be too stressful on your body while you’re taking accutane. You need to nourish and support your body right now instead.

The best thing you can do when you’re on accutane is use very gentle healing, moisturizing products on your skin, eat as much healthy food as you can, and of course practice relaxation every day because of your stress levels.

If you’re after something a little more than isn’t so harsh your body, take a look at my acne and food guide. It teaches you how to eat well for your skin without a harsh detox ..so it’s a great way to support your body:

Hi everyone,

I already tried apple fast and it works like 60% even I am pretty sure that I am candida infections. Maybe I didn’t eat Red Delicious Apple because I can’t find them in New Zealand so I chose NZ rose instead. Anyone has the answer of why it has to be Red Delicious Apple?? Also I agree with Eric that he never reply to my questions about the programe. Not like Fran, you always replied to my questions.

Also he recommend to take Garlic but Fran said garlic is bad for acne then which way is correct?? Don’t forget to comment about apple, why has to be Red Delicious?

#32 Fran on 07.23.08 at 12:59 pm

Hi kanyakit, I’ve discovered an anti-candida diet that appears to be significantly better than acnefreein3days, but it may take a lot of commitment because you need to do it for a lot longer. I’m going to do it myself when I get back to Brisbane.

It’s called the ‘Body Ecology Diet’, you can find out more here -

hey fran.

my family has great genes, my brother has perfect skin, my cousins do, and my parents do….i honestly feel like i have NO reason to be having acne..im not stressed AT ALL, the only occasional stress comes from the acne..with all that being said, could this cadida thing be my problem??? i went to the site u reccomended and i answred more than 5 questions yes….

no gels, creams, or systems have been working well enough for me..

#34 Fran on 08.04.08 at 1:43 am

Hi James, from what I’ve been reading lately, in actual fact about 85% of the population has some level or fungus, mold or Candida in our body. So, it’s highly likely that this is a problem for you.

You could try the Acne Free in 3 Days. I think it appears to work for some people, and I”m guessing it’s just for those that have a low level of Candida in their system. When I get back to Brisbane I’m going to do a very intense detox with the Body Ecology Diet. But this requires a very high level or commitment.

The very least you can do is try taking a lot more probiotics and prebiotics, eating things like kefir, and avoiding sugars and carbs more.

Sunfood nutrition also has some awesome cleansing products:

i.e. exercise?? just relax?? do i continue washing my face with the clearasil kit i have now while in the fast??? thanks!!

#36 Fran on 08.04.08 at 1:18 pm

Hi James, I didn’t create the product and I haven’t done it myself so unfortunately I’m not the best person to ask. You’ll need to contact Acne Free in 3 Days with those questions.

#37 Alakhi on 08.19.08 at 12:48 pm

I tried this diet and was very pleased with the results- at first. I had a ton of more energy and my bowels worked great! I was having three normal movements per day. and my skin was better than it had been in years – although not perfect. But it doesn’t last. I kept doing it every three weeks and this last time it didn’t work as good. My digestion and my skin. its like my body is getting too used to the cleanse or something. I am looking for something new. Another cleanse maybe. hopefully someone will post more suggestions.

#38 Fran on 08.19.08 at 1:01 pm

Alakhi- It’s not healthy to do such a vigorous cleanse so often. I also don’t think this detox fully removes the overgrowth of Candida in everyone, it’s just not possible with that diet. Apples for instance contain a high amount of fruit sugars which in fact feed Candida.

I’m doing “The Body Ecology Diet” when I get back to Brisbane. It’s A LOT healthier, and works a lot better.

im sooo scared of having acne for the rest of my life my mum is 43 and she still gets break outs

#40 Laila on 08.29.08 at 11:31 am

Hey! I hope you’ll be able to answer my question.

I’m 16 years old and I started getting acne a year ago. I’m wondering will doing this “Acne Free in 3 days” potentially harm me? I’ve been trying to improve my diet for about 2 months now and I’ve been taking supplements prescribed by my Naturopath. I couldn’t contact my Naturopath so I thought to ask you.

I’m thinking about buying it today but I don’t want to harm my body because I am so young. Thanks so much :]

#41 Fran on 08.29.08 at 1:10 pm

For the 16 year olds- a detox, especially like this one, I personally feel is too early for you. In MANY cases, teenagers grow out of their acne when they hit about 17 so it’s highly likely that it will just go away by itself.

In the meantime, a much better path to take is to take the supplements, eat as little sugar as possible, and use the right skin care products.

#42 jr on 09.15.08 at 4:31 am

I felt the book didn’t give proper information on why and how the detox works within the body and why it is so important to eat healthy for people with acne. It was my first introduction to detoxing and diet in connection with acne and i think it would have been much more helpful to have a more thorough biological explanation then a more or less ‘follow these steps to get rid of your acne’ approach.

Although after those 3 horrible days my acne was clearing up, about a week or two later things turned around again and my acne started getting worse. At least it was a clue for me that i was on the right track and since then I’ve done tons of research to understand what the book was missing as well as to know there are many other gentler ways to detox and to get healthy.

i think it’s like losing weight, if u lose a load of weight in a week, then it’s more likely to all come back in a week. if you lose it over a longer period of time, making adjustments to your lifestyle and understanding how to be healthy, then it will likely be gone for good.

#43 Fran on 09.16.08 at 7:01 am

jr- Yes that’s the problem with this book. It’s impossible to get rid of an overgrowth of Candida with this diet. If you follow the detox and then stick to the eating guidelines, it will however likely make a lot of improvement. But I personally feel there are better Candida diets out there.

#44 Samantha on 09.29.08 at 3:28 pm

Hey Fran,
So after reading this article and all these comments, I think I am a candidate for candida. For practically my whole life I have been eating that “average diet” you talk about and have been on antibiotics, the pill, AND accutane! :( They worked, and then my acne came back. I am 19 years old but I am very small and skinny (I’ve weighed between 110-115 for the last couple years) so i don’t think this detox would be healthy for me. You mention the BED, how much commitment is needed exactly? Or is there perhaps supplements I can take that get rid of Candida? I think I’ve read somewhere about a supplement called Threelac that is suppose to help lower Candida levels. Do you think they work? Or are there other options? Thanks for all the advice!!

#45 Fran on 09.30.08 at 1:13 am

Samantha- See if you can get a copy of the Body Ecology Diet book. Even if you don’t want to do the diet just yet, it has a lot of information about Candida that is better than anything else I’ve read.

im 16 and suffer from really bad acne, ive used proactive which worked great for the first month then randomly stoped working.my mom has spent thousands of dollars on acne medications from natural to drug store products and nothing seems to be working.i went to the doctor and the doctor said that my acne has nothing to do with what i eat.which i thought was complete bull sh*t i feel like doctors and all these people selling acne products like proactive, are just trying to squeez money out of you, and dont realy care weather your acne cures or not.my self esteem has also taken a plunge because of my acne.currently i am using acne free that i bought at walmart.should i be using this?also my sister suffers from acne scaring.do you have any suggustions as to what she should do?a reply would be greatly appreciated!

Wait, I’m confused. All the info I’ve read about candida tells the person to steer clear of fruits and sugar, in general, so how is eating 3 days of only apples going to clear people of their candida related acne? Wouldn’t all that fruit exacerbate the condition, not cure it? Especially for those with candida-related acne?

#52 Fran on 01.28.09 at 1:32 pm

That’s a very good question Julie, and this is another reason why I’m not so sure about this system. I’ve since learned more about Candida and I don’t think this will get rid of an overgrowth completely. However, granny smith apples are quite low in sugar so they’re not too bad, and apples are supposed to cleanse the blood which is why they’re used in this diet.

#53 Trent on 03.23.09 at 8:06 am

Are we going to see photos of you when u DID have acne??? I kinda get the feeling this is a money making scheme, buy this guide, buy that treatment, but this product…..because it worked for me and cleared my acne.

#54 Fran on 03.23.09 at 8:30 am

Hi Trent, I was always too ashamed to take photos of myself when it was really bad, and I had no idea I’d have a blog then so didn’t have a reason to take pictures. I took pictures when I was writing about it and recovering, you can see them in here – http://www.highonhealth.org/the-ultimate-guide-to-clear-skin-in-7-easy-steps/

And to be honest, if this was a scam it wouldn’t be worth my time. I work close to full time hours on this blog and don’t make enough money to pay rent (I’m 29 and living with my parents at the moment!). I have to sell stuff so that I can keep the blog alive. With 0 income I’d have to shut it down and go and get a full time job.

I think I am going to try the acne free in three days, as soon as I can find a hard cover version of it, I can’t buy the Ebook version, because my computer is messed up, and it will most likely lose link, and I will have to buy another one, that happened to me before, and I wasn’t going to waste another 40 bucks on book that my computer would lose!

#56 jassy on 03.31.09 at 2:53 pm

Hey Fran!
I think what you are doing is great. I have seriously learned more about acne from your site than ever before. i have read the 3 day acne program and am scared of the part where oyu stick something up your butt. Is it okay to take a laxative instead nd if so which one would you recommend?

Also, if i find out i do have candida what foods should I avoid?

Thank you so much!

#57 Fran on 04.01.09 at 6:21 pm

Hey Jassy, a laxative won’t do it but colonic irrigation will. So book yourself in to see a professional!

#58 christopher on 04.02.09 at 2:47 am

so fran have you done the body ecology diet yet? also, i was considering of doing the acne free in 3 days diet and afterwards follow it with the diet from http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com what do you think?

#59 Fran on 04.02.09 at 10:29 am

Hi Christopher, I’m easing my way into it ..I’m going to a silent meditation retreat next week for 5 days and I won’t be able to control my food, so I’ll be more disiplined after that. But I’m 50% on it now.

Acne free in 3 days essentially is a liver detox. As for the other diet, I’m a bit biased with my own that I used and it worked – http://www.eatawayyouracne.com

#60 Kit on 05.14.09 at 10:06 am

Me and my sister both did the Acne Free in 3 days diet/detox with zero success. I really wish he had said what sort of acne it worked for (too bad I hadn’t read your review first!). It seems that me and my sisters have hormonal acne that is aggrevated by what we put on our skin (or rather, what we USED to put on our skin). Yeah I’m sure it works for some, but like you said only those with a candida overgrowth or a really poor diet. When we tried to get our money back… no one returned our calls or emails. SO, we were out 40 dollars plus what it cost for apples and enemas. It had to be 3 of the worst days of my life, and then to not see any results sucked.

Personally, I find your course far better. You explain things well and you seem to cover everything. Plus its something you get into slowly… changing your diet and finding out what works for your skin, etc. It’s painless, simple, and easy to understand. I’ve changed my diet and my products and within a little over a week now I’m all clear. Now all I have left to do is go in for a chemical peel (I was left with awful pits) and my face will be perfect!

Thanks Fran :) … you really are the best.

Hi Fran

Knowing about Candida causing Acne, maybe the culprit for me. As I was on the BCP for years 2 different types Trifeme for 8 years and then Diane till August 2008. So being that BCP can cause Candida, I suspect that might be the answer.

However I am going to be seeing a Naturopath on the 19th August and paying an arm and a leg for the service so I hope she helps.

Will let you know :D

#62 Sim on 08.01.09 at 5:05 pm

Well…I really don’t think that there’s a magic pill to make your skin acne free in just 3 days. Products that claim to drastically reduce your acne in 3 days or even less than that actually include harsh chemicals which show visible results for just few days…If your acne is mild then you must always opt for the safe and natural acne treatments. Check this out for some really good natural tips for acne – http://www.acneinreview.com/category/acne-treatment/natural/

For cystic acne, you may have to use acne medications, but it must be taken after consulting with a good dermatologist.

#63 Carlito on 08.10.09 at 6:39 pm

Dermatologist dont do shit, my local dermatologist just auto prescribes Roaccutane, which didnt even work for me and he didnt want a follow up.

Detox didnt work for me either, BP is looking like the only answer.

Fran i really wish i could have a definitive answer on castor oil, ive been using it for a while, i really cant work out my opinion, but i thought you said you once to mix it with olive oil, thats what ive been doing so did you change your mind at some point?

#64 Kimberly on 08.18.09 at 1:41 pm

Hi Fran, I bought the ebook a few months ago, but was hesitating on whether or not to perform the procedures for reasons like:
- the fact that I’m asian. Asian skins are very different to American skins, I believe, and I’m not sure if it would really work on me. (Asians have more Hypersensivity?)
- Also, I’m skinny. I’m 19 years old, 5′2”, and weigh about 102 lbs. My goal is to gain weight, instead of losing it, which I’m afraid will happen once I start this diet. (It’s very hard for me to gain weight, but very easy to lose it.)

I’ve had acne since I was 16, and it gets worse every year. I have deep ‘ice dents’, which are scars from picking at it. I know that the ebook will not help cure the scars, but it should make the current acne that I have go away, right?

#67 wendy on 08.30.09 at 12:31 pm

i have cetaphil daily facial wash, for normal- oily skin and i think it contains castor oil do you think this will worsen my skin? i have acne
you can check the ingridients in http://www.cetaphil.com

#68 Fran on 08.30.09 at 4:26 pm

Hi Wendy, no it won’t worsen your skin. Cetaphil is one of the best (non-natural) products you can use for acne prone skin.

#69 Dio on 08.31.09 at 6:06 pm

I just wanted to comment on the use of garlic. I swear by it when it comes to candida. I had a nonstop infection untouchable by even the strongest pharmaceutical antifungals.

I married a man from Bulgaria who brought with him the ways of Bulgarian cuisine ie. loads of garlic. I finally got clear after eating his yogurt, raw minced garlic, cilantro and cucumber appetizer. As well, I started eating better with him, so I was getting a lot more plant fibers in my diet.

I am pretty sure this three day apple diet you are talking about, is simply using a mechanical means of getting the yeast out of your body. The fibers literally scrape the intestinal walls. So if this diet is stopped and you don’t have enough fiber in your diet after, the effects may be lost.

And someone else said probiotics are yeast food? Not quite. The Candida infecton can be so thick on your intestinal walls that there is simply no way for probiotic bacteria to attach. You have to kill the yeast first to leave more surface area open for the probiotics. Then, they can even help kill the remaining yeast.

Also, I was told by a naturopath that prebiotics may contribute to leaky gut syndrome so they are best to avoid unless they are in natural form: fruit sugars!

#70 wendy on 09.07.09 at 3:21 pm

what does the book do to get rid of acne caused by candida?
how do you detox yourself with a book?

please reply,i really have no clue

#71 Jeremy W on 09.17.09 at 5:50 pm

Fran, I do not entirely agree with your claim that this guide will get rid of a candida overgrowth by just eating apples for 3 days.
I am a naturopath and nutritionist, and it is a fact that candida can survive up to a month on very low levels of glucose. Apples happen to have a very high level of sugar in them as well.
Also, even if one were to completely erradicate sugar from their diet, soemthing which is close to impossible, the candida would not die, just lose strength and stop reproducing as quickly. This is why it is so important to take anti fungal supplements like garlic, onion or pau’darco whilst following a low sugar diet.

#72 amanda on 09.18.09 at 12:34 pm

I tried this program. And it didn’t work in any way shape or form. I followed it exactly, and I got no results. This program was VERY unpleasent for me, and I hope that other people are weary of it. This makes me sound kinda mean, but i really have nothing good to say about it. I was very disappointed, and i’m still battling my severe acne.

#73 m on 09.19.09 at 7:11 am

I have had acne for almost 10 years and antibiotics helped for a little while, then nothing really worked, now I am on the contraceptive pill and antibiotics which has been the best so far. do you think when I stop taking the pills my acne will come back even worse? Also, do you think acne free in three days would work for me?

#74 S on 10.03.09 at 8:10 am

I’ve actually read the guide and followed it to the letter, and not only did my acne not improved, I believe it has worsened as a result.

I don’t believe this guide was written as a scam, sure. However, I personally think that the fact the author took Accutane earlier is of crucial importance, as it does change your body.

I was never on Accutane and the method did not work for me, that’s all I can say.

#75 Sarah in Exile on 10.15.09 at 10:03 pm

What do you make of Jordin Rubin’s “Restoring your digestive health?” Since it involves soup and it’s cold outside, I thought I’d give it a try to help not only my acne, but also IBS. I find that when I get severe IBS symptoms my acne gets worse.

BTW, I love your site :-)

#76 Jules on 12.23.09 at 4:26 pm

Please get back to me on this book to see if I should buy it or not. Thank you.

#77 Jules on 12.23.09 at 4:31 pm

Get back to me on this.

Thank you.

#78 Ingrid on 01.01.10 at 5:53 am

Fran, you mentioned you spent $$ on new medications. Can I ask what you’re trying now? And… isn’t that unhealthy?

#79 zoe on 01.28.10 at 8:57 pm

i read many reviews about acne free in 3 days n mostly they are bad reviews which said it doesn work n chris is a great internet marketer earning lots of money through junk like this…

haha anyway i heard its just eating apples n pure water for 3 days…i tried 2 times but failed lol

#80 Jordan on 02.20.10 at 4:19 pm

Unfortunately, this won’t work for adolescents. I have tried this three times. Can’t keep the horomones in check. :(

#81 zoe on 02.21.10 at 2:50 pm

yea no wonder im 13 n doesn work for me…for those people who say they want to gain weight…u can try the detox at first u’ll lose quite alot of weight but its only water weight….besides when u eat “normally” again u’ll gain all the weight back

#82 Dee on 04.09.10 at 1:55 pm

Hi Fran,

I bought Chris Gibson’s book, followed his “plan”, ate what he suggested even did the disgusting enema’s he suggests and guess what NOTHING helped. As far as I was concerned it was another $40 wasted on just another acne thing. Trust me I am still searching as to what might work for me but Chris Gibson’s book was not helpful at all.

#83 zoe on 04.10.10 at 8:16 pm

i know why it doesn work…acne didn take 3 days to form. So curing it in 3 days is just impossible.

Detox in 3 days isn intense enough n u have to make major lifestyle changes to heal it

#84 Serita on 04.16.10 at 5:30 pm

I did this about 2 years ago if my memory serves me right. I’ve had acne and bad hyperpigmentation for 14yrs and have been desperate to understand what’s been going on and fix the problem(s). I did not pay for the book as I figured anyone selling something in that manner is someone who is ultimately trying to make a buck (which means you could easily be getting the shaft in one way or another).

Bottom line, I got no results and hardly noticed a bit of difference at all. I’ve always been a pretty healthy person so maybe it wasn’t as intense of a detox for me, not sure. I agree with Fran that the major problem is that they promote the product as being the solution for everyone when that’s absolutely not the truth (and I’m sure they know that).

I can imagine this could work well for some people that may have real candida problems, but I’m guessing Fran is right about there being a much better system (Body Ecology). It seems we all just have to face that we must each take it upon ourselves to run down the checklist of holistic, natural causes to find our root issue(s) and stop wishing for a miracle cream, system, detox, etc.

I also joined Dr. Neal’s ACNE BOOTCAMP & I think it has great potential (who else gives support like that). BUT he’s a very particular person and I know his style is not going to work for everyone either, he is a bit like a drill sergeant, although one who cares. And I felt like adhering to the system was like trying to play twister 3 400lb people- not impossible, but a bit ridiculous and definitely hard.

#85 Jess on 05.23.10 at 11:33 am

I suffer from acne and loathe it but i always try and remember it’s just the outside and although i would love clear skin acne doesn’t make you ugly or a worse person just try and remember this in your struggle against acne.

#86 zoe on 05.24.10 at 7:42 pm

water fasting is much more effective

#87 Najla on 07.29.10 at 2:58 am

YES!

RAW Apple cider vinegar ingested and applied topically has the best effect over anything I’ve ever used (this includes topical antibiotics). It’s also really good for the stomach because it replaces stomach acids that some people lack to help fully digest food (causing quicker, more efficient elimination, thus causing less acne). Take 2 tsp (don’t overdo it) in a glass of water, (add raw honey if you can’t stand the taste), drink it twice daily. Next, apply the apple cider vinegar in a diluted solution with water to your face as a toner/ treatment after cleansing your face (1 part water, 2 parts acv). Then moisturize it with a good moisturizer you feel confident using on your face. The thing about this stuff is that it really works. I was breaking out so badly, it was almost out of control; one night I was like that’s it, I need to stick with a regime – So I drank a glass of this stuff, and applied it to my face. Went to sleep. I woke up to find half of the pimples had reduced atleast 50 percent. I am so excited about this, I’ve been doing this for four days now; my acne is literally almost gone!

note; the apple cider vinegar needs to be raw and unpasteurized. I recommend Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar with “the mother”.

another note; if you are in the process of breaking out, you might notice your acne worsen at first with little bumps. this is normal and you are purging your skin from the inside out. be patient and give yourself at least a good month to start seeing results.
TRY IT!
