Update On – Acne Is Not “Directly” Caused By What You Eat

I decided to record another video as an update from my last one – simply because I feel that I missed out on a couple of vital points in my original video. I guess this topic is somewhat difficult to explain in around five minutes. I’m writing a new book which will cover this topic in a more in depth way which I’m looking forward to sharing with you in the coming months. In the meantime something to remember – primarily it’s important to follow an organic, wholefoods diet. What ethical choices you make, and what you choose to add in or subtract from that wholefoods diet will be your own decision completely unique to you. Get educated, listen to your intuition, and you’ll formulate the best way for you. Just don’t get obsessed with it. More in the video…

Acne Is Not “Directly” Caused By What You Eat

Mmmmmm this one seems to be a little controversial already. There is a lot of misunderstanding out there (along with misinformation) about the relationship between acne and food. Sure it matters what we put into our bodies but when it comes to eating for the skin, it’s not as black and white as you think. You see, the wrong foods CAN worsen an acne condition or bring on a breakout if you have an underlying condition that is causing the acne. Get to the root cause, and you are very likely to have more flexibility with what you can eat. More in the video…

My Psoriasis Is Almost Gone! How To Tune In With Your Body

Yes! It’s leaving!

I’ll offer some before and after pictures just as soon as it has left altogether :)

As I journey through this chapter of my healing I feel inspired. When I feel inspired I listen to my body. And I’ve been listening so hard I found cavities in my teeth that I didn’t even notice were there! Yikes!

I’m on the research train to heal my teeth. Just searching ‘cavities’ turns up five posts here on High On Health that have helped me immensely.

So this is a reminder to you of how great a resource this site is when you’re looking for natural cures!!

There’s no better way to learn and grow then by sharing our experiences with each other, and I am so grateful Fran has shared hers with us. As I write my own eBook on psoriasis (coming soon!) I’ve been really inspired by Fran’s eBook, Clear Skin For Life. While it’s aimed at acne-sufferer’s, it is a holistic enough approach that anyone looking to improve their skin health can benefit from it. Check it out at getclearskinforlife.com

Until next time, sweet creatures.

Sending you love!

Is Air Pollution Giving You Acne?

I’m at the beach in South Bali after spending a few weeks in Ubud. I’m happy to be out of the city and out of the pollution for a while, and gosh my skin is really appreciating it. The salty ocean, sand and clean air are all doing wonderful things for my skin. More in the video…

If you live in a city with pollution here is what you can do:

  • Exfoliate more than usual. Usually I recommend to exfoliate 2-3 times per week but it will do your skin a lot of good to exfoliate (gently) once a day.
  • Don’t skip on washing your face. Over washing is never a good idea but it will be important for you to wash your skin once a day if you can. Twice is always enough, three times is overdoing it. Please keep in mind that if you don’t live in pollution then it’s not important to wash your skin every day.
