Over the last few weeks my exercise routine has been suffering to the point where my friends have started to tell me that I need to do more exercise (meh!).
I used to be a fit little bunny and I felt so healthy and so clear on the inside for it.
So my mission over the next few weeks is to get back into a routine of regular exercise and reclaim that level of fitness back!

I really realised how much excersize can help because of you e-book. It show how much it can make you energetic. By the way, i had to write this out twice so this is wayy shorter that the first one was.
Remember when I asked you to do a review on MOOM.
I found i sugaring recipe:http://www.care2.com/greenliving/ancient-egyptian-body-sugaring.html
This is much cheaper and can be made at home. May you please do a review on this type of hair removal. Thank you for thinking about it.
Readers, You should take a look at this too if you like. And everyone, ‘keep fit and have fun’!!!
Thank you Fran:)
I think you should put a sign on the stearing wheel to remind you to use your bikecycle whenever possible. Try yoga (ur already doing that), swimming (ur already doing that), rollerblading(ur already doing that), skiing if your in cold climates, tennis, and other thing that you can play with your friends and family. Walk as much as possible, and if you do drive your car, park far so you can walk more.
I hope this helped.
Exercising is so important when it comes to having clear skin. It has countless benefits and is a necessity for great health!
I live in the freezing cold up here in Grand Rapids, Michigan. So, I am a member at a health club.
I go 5 days a week. I lift for about 25 minutes 3 of those days. On the 2 days I don’t lift I will engage in cardio workouts for about 25-30 minutes. On the days I do lift I do cardio for about 10-15 minutes.
For cardio I do sprint intervals, cycling, rowing, stair stepping, and the eliptical. And, there is so much more to do too!
Today for the first time I am going to be involved in a cycling class that lasts for 45 minutes – really excited!
While I would rather workout in nature…. its kind of difficult here in the winter. And going to a health club is a great place to socialize. I see so many people and love just saying “hello, how are you?” and leaving it at that or engaging in a short and pleasant conversation. And you meet like minded people since everyone is exercising!
Fran,
Have you ever tried interval sprinting? Try to do it once a week. One of the best ways is to sprint full speed for 20 seconds, then walk 10-20 seconds and do this 8 times or whatever you desire. It is about a 4-5 minute workout but has great benefits!
Exercising is the highlight of my day and am always excited to jump in my car to head to my health club where I have been a member for about 4 years now.
But here are some other workouts… any sport including golf, hiking, walking, cycling, frisbee, lifting anything heavy, intense gardening, yardwork, mowing lawn with a push mower, swimming, jogging… etc.
Anyone who is trying to have clear skin needs to start exercising! It will certainly boost your confidence! Keep your head held high, smile at every stranger and greet the ones who look back at you… this is a great way to make a friend, maybe even meet your spouse! Just try it!
Ok, done now

You should totally start hula hooping! I’ve been doing it for 2 years now, and i’m able to do it outdoors as well as indoors.
It’s benefits are similar to yoga in that it’s a mind-body-spirit activity.
It’s also super inexpensive since you can do it anywhere. I make my own hoops from PVC pipe sold at a home improvement store nearby.
Check out http://www.hoopcity.ca or my youtube videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/sugarmagnolia72
Hula hooping has totally changed my life, and i hope it can do the same for you!
Thank you for another inspiring video, Fran!
I can understand your hesitation about going to the gym, I have done that from time to time, and now I don’t do any exercise except walking so that is not enough..
Do you like horses? Try horse riding! It demands more of your body than you might think
Probably not as much as other kinds of exercise, but if you do it a couple of days every week..
I live in Sweden (waaaay north) and during the winter I love to go snowboarding. I know you can do that on sand (!) in Australia!
Hm actually, sex is a kind of exercise, right?
Get rid of some calories, get those “feel good hormones” and some intimacy
Fran, you should try Pilates!!! Its like yoga but moving and you work every tiny little muscle in your body. It’s amazing!!!! It keeps me super toned and I swim as well.
Hi Fran,
It’s snowing here. but since the dog needs to be walked no matter what the weather, I’m heading out! One of the many reasons to have a dog. Otherwise I’d hibernate…
I’m pretty new to your blog, but I want to say you’re doing a great job. I’ve been a holistic esthetician for about 20 years. I’ve helped teens and adults with clearing their acne by recommending the same things you do. As well as by giving great natural facials!
Let us know how the soccer goes!

Just like you, we all fall in vicious cycles of only being able to focus on so much at one time!!…guess it’s a part of wanting to try so many different things. Which is a good thing.
We have/try new experiences and then gravitate back towards what makes us feel good and wonderful about ourselves! =)
Every time I experiment with diet, my body has to adjust.
**On a side note, I have tried Turtle Mountain’s So Delicious unsweetened Coconut Kefir as a diluting liquid + Manuka Honey for a mask treatment and have gotten wonderful results. The healing + antibacterial benefits of Coconut + Manuka…is amazing!! I’m still waiting for the organic version though.
Make sure to the try the one without added cane sugar…
I mix leftover kefir with some fruit, with grounded cinnamon/ginger + a little maple syrup…yummy!
Just can’t get enough of benefits from coconut!!

There’s so much to do in cold climates!!! I live in Canada and in winter, I skate, ski & walk. Snowball fights & sledding are also fun workouts with friends. I also have a weight set that I use regularly.
Have you ever tried skipping (jump rope)? It’s a fantastic workout and is good for a warm climate where you can go outside.
I went to the Rec. Center after class today. I have not exercised in so long! I could definitely feel the burn. I DID notice that I felt much happier after I worked out. I definitely sweated some toxins out too! This does not relate to exercise, but if there is one thing that dermatologists have right, it is to use a very gentle cleanser. I found the cleanser that my dermatologist gave to me when I used to go see him and it’s called Cerave Hydrating Cleanser. I just used it. My skin doesn’t feel all tight and in need of a moisturizer. It’s great! Everyone — use a gentle, hydrating cleanser even if your skin is oily. It’s actually WAY better to be super oily than super dry. I would know. I became so dry last semester that I could barely move my neck while I was driving to see if any traffic was coming in the next lane over. How dangerous is that?! Very. Well good luck everyone and thank you Fran for the wonderful advice! Good luck to you as well. Exercise really does give you happy thoughts. Happy thoughts eventually lead to happy skin. I think most of acne sufferers are looking for immediate results. It isn’t about just slabbing on some medication and hoping it will clear up by tomorrow. It’s about your WHOLE lifestyle changing for the better. Just live healthy and you’ll look healthy. Eat well (and you can eat a little unhealthy from time to time. if someone offers you a cake, are you going to refuse it just because it may break you out? No, don’t do that. That’s silly. Have fun. If you worry about how every little food is going to break you out possibly then you are stressing yourself out to the point where you ARE breaking out. Chill. Exercise of course, as Fran suggests. And be as calm as you possibly can about any situation and do things that make you happy. Those steps are really the ones that matter more than something you just put on your face for treatment. A treatment may work, but you really need to strive for a better, healthier lifestyle. Thank you all. Love Love. – Courtney.
hi fran, i read your whole RAW ebook
and i have an answer to your frequent bloating
yes, it probably was your menstrual cycle, however, i noticed that you eat fruit after most of your meals. fruit should be eaten on an EMPTY stomach(preferably first thing in the morning) or just atleast 2-3 hours after your meal. When i eat fruit after a meal , i get bloated 95% of the time. …especially if i mix it with fats.
hope that helped
you are an inspiration
keep on keepin on

Hi Fran,
Please read this, i think I have some good suggestions.
I live in Florida and we Love to play volleyball! So fun! PROMISE!!! Are there nets at your beaches? If you learn how you to accurately use your body to play volleyball it will be less painful.
The important thing is being active in general you don’t have to stress about getting the “work out”…. just be active…
Walk to the post office(etc.)
Walk instead of your bike sometimes AND walk barefoot in places that you feel are safe(look that up, trust me)
OH & put a cute basket on your bike so you can utilize your bike for specific errands.
Park far back in parking lots.
OH YEAH! Dancing!!! YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO TO A CLUB. Invite your fun friends that you feel comfortable being goofy and yourself around and put on any fun music to dance to… Do dances that may even look silly but feel good and feel like a work out or a good stretch!! Amazing!
Palates>Yoga
Trust me, do both!! I prefer Palates.
If you can sneak into a Gulf coarse, thats really comfy grass for jogging and running especially barefoot which is excellent for you.
Climb a sweet looking tree(Watch out for ants)
YOGA BALL is so helpful…I especially use it for sit ups…I’m trying to get sexy abs. heehee
Don’t forget your H2O
<3
I live in Finland and it’s full winter here with snow and everything. When the weather gets really cold (like -25 degrees Celsius) I don’t go out that much (instead I do my exercises at gym or go indoor cycling), but at other times I go cross country skiing, do kind of “snow walks” on the lake ice or ride my mountain bike on the snowy streets. Of course I miss summer because winters are really long here (from november to april) but fortunately winter sports are fun too
I usually exercise every day (just walking briskly for an hour) and haven’t been recently. I just now realized this is probably the reason why my skin has suddenly began to break out.
I am one of those people who are sometimes on a massive health kick doing lots of exercise all the time and sometimes not really doing much (however i am lucky that my job is quite active and i don’t spend all day sitting in front of a desk) but i am fairly body confident so i am pretty lucky in that way however there are always parts of me i would like to change like anyone,i guess, i think it’s really important to make sure i don’t get down on myself about it because nobody’s perfect.
You are so pretty!
Are you considering moving to California?
