I received a beautiful email this morning which put a huge smile on my face and a warm little glow in my heart.
The email was from Diana, who had a coaching call with me last week. In the call we talked about how there’s a lot of stress in her life at the moment and how she’s not really giving herself a chance to have fun with life and enjoy every experience that comes her way. So we decided to write down a list of stuff that she loves and makes her feel really happy.
This morning I woke up to Diana’s “Love List” in my inbox and it was just beautiful. In the list she’s written down every activity that she loves and makes her feel happy. So I asked her to print out the list and stick it to a wall in her house, and to commit to a minimum of 30 minutes each and every day to make at least one of those activities happen.
I strongly feel that this is a beautiful way to bring more self love into your life. A lot of us have forgotten to take a step back from life and really enjoy it. Our mind is too full with thinking about what we “should” or “shouldn’t” be doing and our days are filled with work, study or raising our family. We get so caught up in the whole automated process of life that we’ve forgotten to actually live. We’ve forgotten to slow down a bit and really enjoy the journey. So wrap yourself up in love and take the time to really consider what you WANT to be doing in each and every moment of the day, not what you SHOULD be doing.
I was a little sad during the call with Diana when I asked her to list a few things that make her feel happy and she got stuck after listing just one. It was such a strong validation that we really have forgotten how to let go and have a really fun time with this journey that we incarnated onto Earth for.
So I would like to invite you to write a “Love List” just like Diana did. This list will include every activity that makes you feel happy. List everything that you absolutely love doing. I would then like to encourage you to print out the list and stick it on a wall in your house, place it somewhere that you’ll see often. And then (and this is the most important part), I’d like to invite you to commit to at least 30 minutes each and every day to do one or more of the activities on your list.
This is going to be a time in your day which will give you the opportunity to celebrate being you. To give yourself the love and nourishment that you really deserve.
I feel so strongly about the connection between self love and acne that I know it’s going to make a huge difference in your skin condition. Combined with a good wholefoods diet and regular exercise, your love list is going to help you to feel more open hearted, more self love, more self confidence, more self empowerment, and your skin will being to clear and glowing.

I guess my ‘love list’ would be dancing and reading – or at least they are the only things I can do at home. I went to the beach yesterday, and have been there every week for the last few weeks which has been incredibly relaxing, so am endevouring to get down there once a week during the rest of summer. I already dance a lot! But I might dedicate half an hour to having a private dance party in my room where I don’t have to think about technique etc, lol. And I am going to cut down on TV and read instead which is more relaxing. Thanks for the lovely post Fran!
I think my “love list’ would be umm. reading, nature walks, hiking, playing in snow, picnics, & naps. Thanx for making me aware that this is an important part of health and well being. :3
My Love List includes playing music, healthy cooking (& eating!), meditating, hiking, quick sun bathing, yoga, talks/cuddles with my boyfriend, and getting massages.
I’m going to spend a little less time on the computer so I can do more of these things. =)
my love list is… making delicious healthy food, sharing delicious wholesome food with others, laughing with others, watching funny t.v shows, doing yoga, painting, being in sunshine, massages, snuggling, warm baths, listening to music, dancing and singing.
i love your ideas fran! i am going to post my love list in my room tonight =)
What a great idea. Its so sad that most of my thoughts involve my future and future career and I am now realizing how much I have forgotten to enjoy the little things! I have now realized that if I enjoy the little things, a good career and future will mostly likely just flow from that. I played so many sports as a kid, I really miss just being outside and playing basketball and skating around. I think Im going to try to do more of that.
My love list would be most likely sleeping and playing-surfing the net! I really enjoyed these activities and it relaxes me!

(wow, I can relate to your article; it’s great to see people who ‘get it’.)
