I’ve FINALLY Found The Ultimate Healthiest Chocolate (That Won’t Break You Out)

Loving Earth ChocolateI’ve been on a quest to find the best ever healthiest chocolate. I spent a lot of time in health stores and delis in Canada, the US, the UK and Europe checking and reading the ingredients on chocolate products.

I even sampled a lot but it wasn’t until I returned home to Australia that a very special surprise was waiting for me. The AWESOMEST chocolate product ever. This one actually tastes like the real deal, and it’s good for you so no need to worry about a breakout or getting bad skin from it. Hey, it’s even great for your skin!! Check it out-

I’m shipping this chocolate all over the world, so if you want some you can buy it here - http://www.highonhealth.org/products-page/food/

If you think you’ve found a better one let me know, but I won’t believe you because I’ve tasted a lot of raw organic chocolate and this one beats all of them by far.

And in case you were wondering, here are the ingredients -

Organic raw cacao butter, organic raw cacao powder, organic agave syrup (dark), vanilla beans, Himalayan crystal salt.

That’s right, NO dairy and NO refined sugars :D

And if you don’t understand my excitement, you’re either not a chocoholic or you haven’t seen my blog articles on how amazing cacao is. Here is more info if you want to take a look -

How much you reckon we order? Without leaving you in the red for shipping? Which one do you recommend the most?

#2 Christiana Holt on 02.16.09 at 7:13 pm

Oh yes !! Yummy yummy ! I actually have my candida under controlnow so I am able to have a little of the other sugars aside from Xyitol … I’ll have to take a look in wholefoods pretty soon … pretty poor though after many extravagances in the past two weeks lol x

This Chocolate looks heart breaking good! I find that I get cravings for sweets and for greasy food, both of which I haven’t eaten in some time. Weird phantom foods! At any rate I’ll be ordering in the near future. Oh and Agave is a wonderful sweetener, I use it a lot here in Colorado, we pronounce it agav-eh, they grow it on fair-trade farms in Mexico, where they also use the plant to make Tequila! Agave Margaritas? hmmm. Thanks Fran for sharing all your wonderful findings!

wow, this sounds awsome!! Does it really taste like REAL chocolate? And is healthy for you - I will definitely order :)

#7 butterfly on 02.17.09 at 6:41 am

Fran, which flavours do you recommend (besides the plain one)? I really like mint, so I should probably stock up on crunchy mint huh? :)

#8 Fran on 02.17.09 at 6:50 am

Butterfly- It tastes more like a chocolate fudge, raw chocolates can never been as crisp as “real” chocolate. But all the health benefits are worth it.

I haven’t tried them all yet, but I love the goji berry and mint bars so far :) I’ll have to try each one so I can give a better recommendation!

Hi Fran

Could you let me know if the Peel Me A Papaya enzyme exfoliant with green papaya & coconut milk is ok for sensitive skin? I have VERY sensitive skin, but want to find an exfoliant to even out my skin tone a little.
Thanks
Emma

I love mint chocolate. I’m gonna see how soon I can order mine. Just a request Fran, but could you kindly package the chocolates in a small box, cause the bigger the box the more they demand in payment.

I wanted to know if this chocolate is kosher, and if it is would there be a problem to ship it to Israel?!

#15 butterfly on 02.17.09 at 8:20 pm

I just have one question: when ordering to Europe what is the tax fee from Australia?
Thanks!!

The gogi chocolate sounds realllly good. Fran, are you going to be selling any other products from the company on your site? I checked the loving earth website and they don’t ship to the U.S.! : (

#17 Samantha on 02.18.09 at 2:44 pm

Hey fran, I was just wondering about your scrubs and exfoliants. Are any of them okay to use on active acne? I assume the scrubs probably are not (i remember you saying that scrubs can aggravate inflamed acne as well as spread the acne bacteria around), but I hate to not be able to ever exfoliate due to my inflamed skin, because I know it can be pretty important for keeping future acne away as well as clogged pores which I do have a small problem with. Anyway, just thought I’d see what you’d think about the matter. Thanks so much for everything!

#18 Fran on 02.18.09 at 2:50 pm

Samantha- all the products under the scrubs and masks section are gentle enough on the skin, including active acne. However, if you’re active acne is severe, I’d personally steer clear of them for now. You can use a deep pore exfoliant like a salicylic acid product for a while, but it’s not a natural product so you have to be okay with that.

Nikki- I can sell more of their products, what did you have in mind??

Butterfly- I don’t know, you’ll have to check with your postal service. It’s an odd question for me because here in Australia we don’t have to pay tax on small parcels.

Chamutal- I’ll find out for you :)

I really wish I could make my own chocolate!

#20 Renee on 02.19.09 at 3:33 pm

Ohh! This is great news Fran! Thanks for sharing such important knowledge for those of us who love chocolate and strive for a clear complexion. I’m from Toronto but i’m moving to Melbourne tomorrow for university so I’m excited and can’t wait to buy Loving Earth chocolate myself!

#21 Fran on 02.19.09 at 6:21 pm

Kyle- Me too!!!

Renee- Lucky you from Toronto, I miss it so much, although way too cold right now. Melbourne is lovely, you’ll have a great time there. Let me know if you come up to Brisbane :)

#22 Samantha on 02.20.09 at 8:29 am

Thanks again for the advice Fran. I decided to go with the honey I shrunk the pores exfoliater. I also bought the cleanser for oily skin as well as some chocolate :) Needless to say, I am very excited. Okay, so not to sound spoiled and impatient, but I was just wondering whether or not you (fran or anyone) knew how long it takes for something to ship from australia to the u.s.? My boyfriend said it would probably take like a month, but I just wanted to double check since I am soo excited to get this stuff, especially the chocolate :-D Thanks!!

#23 kevin on 02.20.09 at 9:05 am

Hi Samantha,

It depends who the package gets shipped with. When I ordered from Miessence which ships from Oz it got to Florida in about 4 days for me.That was really impressive. But then I ordered from another company in Oz and it took about 2 and a half weeks to get to Florida.
If you get a tracking number then you can monitor it’s process.UPS tends to be slow, FedEx is fast. Aeropost is another slow one as well.

But I get impatient too cause I’m so anxious to get it ,so a tracking number really eases the wait.

#24 Samantha on 02.21.09 at 7:20 am

Thanks Kevin for the response! :) That is all good to know. I just wanted to make sure it would not actually take a month, but I suppose it is good to be patient no matter what anyway. I ordered this stuff from Fran’s online store, so I don’t know if there would be a tracking number. But yeah, i am soo anxious to get this stuff since I have a really good feeling it’ll help my skin a lot. I haven’t exfoliated in forever :-/

I just read some bad news on Agave, though I’m not convinced yet. Somebody talked a lot about it in the comments section and said it was worse than HFCS. I’m not throwing mine out yet though.

#26 Fran on 02.24.09 at 11:36 am

Hi Kyle, this is the reason why I say agave is not good if you’re on a Candida diet. Eating agave is like eating fruit because of the fructose.

However, if you buy the dark agave and you don’t have a problem with Candida, it DOES have a low GI so it’s okay :)

#27 Kyle on 02.25.09 at 11:21 am

Oh, thanks! What’s the difference between dark agave and regular agave by the way?

#28 Fran on 02.25.09 at 2:13 pm

Kyle- It’s my understanding that dark agave has a lower GI and more minerals, but it does have more of a taste than the lighter agave which is more “neutral” in flavor.

Also remember to buy raw agave if you can find it!

‘kay, thanks!

This probably isn’t as good as yours and it’s $4.25 (!!) here in LA, but it’s damn good and worth every penny!

Green & Black Organic Milk Chocolate with Whole Roasted Almonds

Organic raw cane sugar, organic almonds, organic whole milk powder, organic chocolate liquor, organic cocoa butter, soy lecithin, organic vanilla extract

#31 Fran on 03.19.09 at 4:49 pm

Hi Joanna, I love Green & Black too but unfortunately it contains sugar cane and it’s not raw. But it’s my FAV “unhealthy” chocolate so I eat it as a treat every now and again :)
