Hey Fran I really enjoyed the video!!!!
You are the biggest role model in my life right now.
It’s incredibly hard finding places around me to buy organic raw food, but I look online all the time. Anyway after following your blog for awhile now I have been completely converted to a vegitarian. I hope when I move in a few months I can begin growing a garden. If you have any tips on particular plants to grow please let me know. Thanks for everything!
Hey Fran, I have a question that I am hoping you could answer. I went on birth control to stop my acne, and it did 100%. I recently tried going off of it, and a few months later my acne came back. I quickly went back on it, and now my face is 100% clear once again. I am married and my husband and I are planning on starting a family later this year. So I will have to go off of the birth control again and am fearing my acne coming back. So I have been researching alternative methods of stopping acne. I am very interested in your approach. However I was logically thinking that if while I’m on birth control and I can eat whatever I want (which is a very healthy diet but I do consume dairy products, and wheat/gluten products) and I am 100% acne free, how then logically will cutting those foods out when I’m off the birth control help cure my acne? In other words if I was allergic to dairy/wheat/gluten, then why am I able to eat them while on the birth control and be 100% acne free? Would cutting those foods out of my diet once I’m off the birth control really help me? I hope this wasn’t confusing, but I’m really interested in an answer. Thank you so much!
Its Diana from your *coaching program*. I just wanted to say that I looovvveee this video!!!. I never felt that connected before and as Mary mentioned Im transitioning and wanting to become a vegetarian too!!!. Wow I feel the love all around me…I don’t feel weird now lol. When I start having my own house I want to have an abundant organic fruit and vegetable garden…actually when I was a little girl in California I lived in an organic garden!!!! I just picked the apples from the trees and started eating…oh and did I mention the walnuts heavenly falling from the trees…I was really blessed. But now I don’t live there…I feel like I’m missing some part of me…and now that you mentioned this…I feel as if my soul and spirit are synchronized into one. Thanks Fran!!!!
Vadim- Absolutely! I have a herb spiral and an organic veggie garden at the moment.
mary- Great! getting into the garden is such a beautiful way for us to get more connected with the earth and to learn more about where our food comes from. If you can find an organic gardening or permaculture course local to you then go for that. Otherwise just have a play around, use your garden as your classroom! As your friends and family for tips and you’ll always find someone who knows a lot and would love to help out.
Hey Kimberley, that’s a huge question with a huge answer If you do a search in my blog for the birth control pill then you’ll find a few articles in here that will answer your questions. The search box is on the right hand side of the screen.
Diana, that’s so beautiful Great things are coming up ahead for you!!!!
Camilo, Stock should be back in store in about 2 weeks.
Thank you so much for your in depth research on acne and healthy skin and your unique perspective on beauty and life.
I have struggled with acne for so long, and it is only recently, after coming across your website on accident that I have started taking control of my own skin. That is not stopping at the confines of my Dermatologist’s recommendations, but searching elsewhere for answers. I am incorporating more organic and raw foods, minimizing meats and cutting out beef altogether. I have stopped eating a lot of sweets and dairy. Oh, and I stopped birth control. I also find the fish oil/ flaxseed remedy for cystic acne informative and helpful.
I do have a questions. You mention ground-up Linseeds, Sunflower seeds and Almonds in your research. Is this something that you make yourself? Or can that be bought at a health food store- I went to Wholefoods the other day, and the store clerks were baffled. Also, I have yet to find raw cacao, and I would love to try it. Can this be ordered online? Any suggestions on where to purchase cacao- I live in Salt Lake City, UT.
Hey Regina, I think you’re referring to LSA which is commonly found in the fridge section in health stores here in oz. I do however prefer to grind up seeds myself because the powders can easily go rancid if they’re not looked after properly. If you have a spice grinder or coffee grinder then it’s super easy to do it yourself.
I’d be very surprised if you can’t find raw cacao in Wholefoods or any health store in your local area really. It’s becoming very widely available! x
It is awesome to follow someone who has a passion for overall health. I just discovered David Wolfe the other day myself.
Fran,
Have you purchased Daves book, Eating for Beauty? I am going to buy it in a few days. It looks like an excellent read. I have been browsing his website, sunfood.com and I can’t seem to find anything that I don’t want! I can’t wait to buy a few things from his company.
Having an organic garden would be great! I don’t have one yet but having one does help. I believe the garden would help to save money and what is more satisfying than eating from your own garden?
Cacao is literally on my doorstep I’m so blessed to have a organic food store on my doorstep … Organic spices, herbs, teas, nuts, seeds, pulses, grains, berries, sugar crystals, brought by the weight you desire, and so cheap compared to whole foods. Literally their cacao is half the price and exactly the same. Unfortunately, I am not blessed with a garden but I do have an extension which I plan on growing lettiuces and herbs on when the weather warms up here in London
I am a little confused by this video. I do not know what you mean by getting high off of cocoa beans? Would you explain this further. Is that unhealthy or morally wrong? Thanks.
Todd- Yeah I own most of his books, this one was a recent purchase that I got signed on the weekend!
Joseph- Absolutely, you rock!
Celeste- Hey beautiful, cacao is a very healthy food and it’s one of natures gifts to us! So getting “high” on cacao is not the same as getting high on synthetic amphetamines. It’s absolutely 100% safe to eat heaps of cacao and to enjoy the happy and energizing feeling you sometimes get from it. Loves to you! x
Hi Fran, what an inspirational young person you are, thank you for your down to earth, honest approach, I don’t know what click I did on the net to find you, but I guess when your on this raw food journey these things happen, I have been watching your videos for the last 3 hrs, you have some awesome info, blessings & thank you, I had discovered David Wolfe last week, he really makes you think hugh!! I also like Matt & Angela Monarch(rawfoodworld) another 2 young amazing humans on this planet, very real & uncomplicated, but so giving of info about the amazing world of raw food and how it nourishes our bodies to give us the best chance at an amazing life experience……,Love your vibe, the more people that join this journey, the better this world will be…….keep doing what your doing, knowledge is a powerful thing, your changing the world with your efforts……just awesome, thank you, so glad to me a fellow Aussie on this path……
I love what you said about how a great life is waiting out there for you – I’ve been wanting to bring more people into my life who are raw-ish and enjoy healthy active lifestyles, and all of sudden i’ve been getting invited to things where raw foodists are there. Only trouble is, I don’t attend as often as I could! I’ve found that I need to get outside my comfort zone, and part of me is actually SCARED to grab a hold of that life and those new people.
That’s something to discuss because sometimes the universe hands us things that we want but we don’t feel “ready” to take them! =P
