BIG exciting news today - I’ve finally found a moisturizer that I love as much as Bee Yummy Skinfood!!!

It’s natural, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and is made to help sensitive and acne-prone skin. Take a look at my video review for the full rundown-

And for those of you who missed it, here is the beautiful Randi’s testimonial:

I just wanted to share my results with using Hemp Hemp Hooray Soothe Cream. I have been using it now for almost a month and it is wonderful! My face has no more cystic acne and all the redness and irritation is gone. I still have some red spots where older acne is healing, but I’m using a manuka honey mask every other day and they are going away. I only have one small inflammation at the moment and no more seem to be coming up.

I use the cream morning and night as my moisturizer. I just ordered the cleanser and can’t wait to try it. Hope this information helps you and you have good luck with it as well!

Hey Fran, might try this next as I’m about to run out of Bee Yummy and you don’t have any in stock. Plus, it’s cheaper! Looks awesome, and I am loving the cleanser so far, but I’m hesitant to switch as Bee Yummy has worked so well for me so far! Decisions, decisions…

Fran, do you think using pure hemp oil would be just as good to use on your face or could it clog my pores?
Thank you for yet another great video (and an awsome product) - I ckeck your blog every single day and I love it :)

#3 Fran on 01.27.10 at 10:48 pm

Tulsi- I know! Decisions :) I reckon give it a go next time coz it’s pretty good. If you don’t love it as much you can always go back to Bee yummy.

Lovely little Butterfly- I think this is better because it contains other healing ingredients like the witch hazel, tea tree oil and a couple of other healing juices from nature. But you could do a hemp oil experiment and see how it goes! My boyfriend uses straight hemp oil and his skin is great, but then he’s also never had a problem with acne in his life.

Hi Fran, first of all i want to say that you look gorgeous!Your skin is amazing! And i am happy that you found moisturizer, that works good for your skin, but as for me,i live in Russia, and im not able to purchase some of this products especially organic one, because all that we have for acne prone skin is Neutrogena,Benzoyl Peroxide and all those kind of things (ewww). BTW i wan to try to find hemp oil, maube it will works for me,because i have after acne redness, scars etc.
Thanks for the videos,it’s really my pleasure to watch it all!
All the best,Vadim.

ACH, adding another product to my “try it ” list. Just got done with my bee yummy samples and was debating if I wanted to order the full size but now I wonder if I should try this first.
Tulsi, I agree is it so hard to decide!

When are you going to show your beauty skin regimen??? After finishing the raw food diet???

#11 Todd Dosenberry on 01.28.10 at 8:48 am

Hey Fran,

How would you compare this product with jojoba oil?

#12 Fran on 01.28.10 at 9:27 am

Vadim- You can buy from my store!

Monica- If you live in Australia you can buy retail in health food stores.

Olivia- Yep, I’ve had a look ..I’d be happy to do that some time in the near future :)

Angela- Yep! All will be revealed next week!!!

Todd- Well, I see them as two different things. In my eyes jojoba oil is great at giving the skin an intense hydration when it needs it. THIS product is a great way to gently hydrate while soothing acne and inflammation at the same time.

#13 Kylie on 01.28.10 at 11:16 am

Fantastic, I am gonna try. Now I am back in Brisbane, I will see if any close local health stores sell it otherwise I will buy off your website Fran, awesome :D

Oh by the way I feel the Manuka Honey I have been using is working too yay

#14 Olivia on 01.28.10 at 11:24 am

Thanks. Did you know that your name means free!
My name means pure (As olive oil lol) :)

#15 Bern on 01.28.10 at 2:51 pm

Hey fran, have you ever used just plain hemp oil on your skin? I moisturize with a little jojoba or emu oil as soon as I hop out of the shower, which works well for me and I get lots of compliments on my skin, just wondering if you think hemp might work well in this way as well?

#16 Fran on 01.28.10 at 3:35 pm

Kylie- You can buy at Sun & Earth in New Farm, if you get served by Dave tell him I said hi ;)

Bern- I’ve tried it a couple of times but always freak out! It’s all in my head though. Straight hemp oil is fine, great even, so give it a go.

#17 Todd Dosenberry on 01.29.10 at 6:46 am

Thanks for the response Fran. Jojoba oil works great for me and is much less expensive. But, I may have to give this one a try sometime or at least suggest it to my readers down the road.

Thanks.

#18 Monica on 01.29.10 at 7:25 am

Is there any way I can buy products here in the US with Hemp oil ?
Or products with jojoba or calendula if hemp oil isn’t available?
Thank you much for response :)

#19 Fran on 01.29.10 at 8:07 am

Monica- No idea lovely …take a look around at your local health stores.

#20 Lucuta Ioana on 01.29.10 at 10:28 pm

Fran ,I don`t have acne anymore but i have some red marks left from acne.I don`t know what to do.Please help me.

#21 Renee on 01.30.10 at 4:17 am

Fran! This has nothing to do with this entry, but you gotta watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhG1Bgbsj2w
Eve Ensler talks about embracing our girly-ness - reminded me of your past posts about how we should love ourselves. And I really struggle with that. But this video really helped me love myself! I’ve always had to “be strong”… kinda masculine. But honestly, I’m weak and an emotional creature. Eve Ensler says that it’s GOOOD to be such! The last 5 minutes is a monologue - and it helps me embrace myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loveee being a girl!!!!! I’m finally starting to love myself!

#22 Todd Dosenberry on 01.30.10 at 6:23 am

Monica… you can buy 100% australian jojoba oil from Amazon. Just go to amazon.com and type in “jojoba oil”

Buy the first one from Desert Essence. This is the one I use and it works wonders. It lasts a long time too so it is fairly cheap!

#23 Fran on 01.30.10 at 8:58 am

Lucuta Ioana- Thank you for reminding me that I really should be getting onto working on my acne scars ebook which was supposed to be released by now!! Look out for that coming soon, it’ll help you a lot. I also have info in my 10 free vids - http://the-clearest-skin-ever.com/

Renee- That’s wonderful! I’ll check the vid out x

#24 Lyndsey on 01.31.10 at 1:50 am

#25 eve on 01.31.10 at 6:31 pm

omg i just wanted to order the bee yummy , but it was outta stock
, and now i see the hemp hemp hooray skin soothe

is the cleanser really good ?

can i have them both ? 1 at night 1 in the morning ?
or would that be to much ?

#26 Matt on 02.01.10 at 1:10 am

Hey fran do you think this would help with redness of skin? Some days i seem to get red skin on my face would the “soothing” effect help with this?

#27 Susan on 02.03.10 at 10:44 am

Hi Fran, I went onto Hemp Hemp Hooray website and noticed under the ingredients that the soothing cream has shea butter…do you think that would be something that would break me out? My skin is super sensitive!

I’m a 41 year old mom of 3 and have struggled with acne for many years…I’m so grateful to you for all your insight!! Thank you!

#28 Christina on 02.03.10 at 1:56 pm

In my attempt to make my skin care routine as naturally-based as possible, I have come across a bit of a hurdle… Fran, hopefully you or other members can share opinions on the use of essential oils in skin care. Typically in the natural cosmetic world essential oils such as geranium, bergamot, lavender (and MANY MANY MANY more)are used to treat acne because of their antibacterial/antifungal/antiviral properties. However, skin care gurus such as Paula Begoun caution against the use of many of these oils as they can be skin irritants/sensitizers…or worse photosensitizing, photomutagenic, and cytotoxic! Yikes! Paula presents the idea that even if your skin does not ‘look’ irritated it may be damaging below the surface impairing the skin’s ability to heal and protect itself. It is VERY hard to avoid essential oils in most natural products(in fact I have really only come across one, Sophyo, but find their products a bit on the heavy side for acneic skin)… I want to avoid harmful synthetic chemicals, but do not want to cause damage to my skin with potent ‘natural’ ingredients either. HELP! =P

#29 Carley Parsons on 02.04.10 at 11:29 pm

Hey Fran! I’m still on the lookout for a moisturizer myself but wanted to thank you for all you do- you have helped me stop picking! And I was really really bad…
But I also use Paula’s choice BHA liquid 2% and her website has a list of natural ingredients that are actually irritating to the skin - and about three of them are in the hemp hemp hooray skin soothe - what do you think? how does it feel on the skin? greasy? soak in fast? did you have any irritation?

#30 Fran on 02.05.10 at 10:45 am

eve- The cleanser is really awesome.

Matt- To be honest, the BEST way to prevent that redness is through your diet. Raw foods worked amazingly well with me. But just cutting out sugar and inflammatory foods will work just as well. Both moisturizers will help, but won’t work as well as modifying your diet.

Susan- Yes, I asked Teresa about that before I sold it because I was a little cautious about the butter being in there. But for this particular moisturizer they’ve used a very minimal amount so I’m confident that it will be okay.

Christina- This is the reason why I stocked Bee Yummy Skinfood, because it doesn’t use oils, it’s honey based.

I also feel that we can analyze stuff way too much. It’s better just to focus on the positives - eating well, exercising, relaxing, meditating, etc. And as long as you’re using skin care that’s natural, that uses minimal ingredients then you can’t go wrong.

If you’re worried, definitely use those products that are not based on oils!

Hey Carley- Which ingredients were those? Were they synthetic or natural. In a perfect world I would take the wax and the shea butter out of this moisturizer but there are so many healing ingredients in there that it makes it a very healing product.

#31 Carley Parsons on 02.05.10 at 2:11 pm

I believe they were the witch hazel, rosemary, lavender, and grapefruit extracts. here is the link to paula’s article and the natural ingredients she lists as irritating:

This arrived in the mail on the 8th (it’s now the 15th) and I’ve been using it every day. I love it! I really think it’s calming the spots I do have down and clearing my skin up and making it look fresher :) I think this is going to be the best moisturizer I’ve ever bought! Definitely worth the money. Thanks Fran!

#34 Amanda on 02.25.10 at 8:47 am

Hi Fran :)
I’ve had great results with the Hemp Hemp Hooray products. I have been using both the cleanser and the skin soothe for a couple of months now and my skin is much less irritated. I haven’t had any large cystic blemishes come up in this time and any smaller ones that appear heal a lot quicker than they used to!
I also stopped eating wheat and dairy around this time which I’m sure is helping clear my skin too.
I have had lots of comments from people about how healthy I’m looking :)
Thank you for putting me on to such a great range of products!
I think I might add the neem into the mix next.

THIS IS THE BEST MOISTURISER I HAVE EVER OWNED, and I have bought everything thats has promised to cure my pimples and never has! I wish I could have taken a before and after photo to show how my skin has improved by using this moisturiser! I use it twice a day, once before I apply my makeup in the morning and once before bed. Its lightweight, non oily, reduces redness and inflamation and just feels beautiful on my skin. Thank you Fran for introducing it to me, and everyone else BUY IT, IT MIGHT JUST WORK FOR YOU TOO!!! xox
