Product Review: Miracle Peel Cloth – Microdermabrasion Cloth

miracle peel clothIn this video I review the miracle peel cloth, which I guess I give 4 out of 5 stars. It lost a star because I don’t think it is a “miracle” or even really that amazing, but it is a pretty good facial exfoliant that saves both the environment and money.

I also talk a little about how manuka honey is going for me as a spot treatment.

And I talk a little more (or maybe a lot) about why there’s a TV in the background of this video but why we never actually watch it!

Hi Fran,
Just wanted to say that I don’t have TV either as we can’t get reception where I live. I haven’t had TV for eight years now and I think that not having TV in my life has been a positive thing. Like you, my family watches heaps of DVDs and instead of watching TV I like to read, spend time outdoors, use the computer or get active! When I watch TV at friends houses it is a bit like a treat I guess but, like you said, I also find the advertising annoying in that it can become really repetitive.

Fran, I’m so happy to hear that you don’t watch TV! My boyfriend and I moved in together 8 months ago and have not owned a TV since…it has been the best time to learn more about ourselves and not be bombarded with ads every day. We get enough of that just driving down the street or going to a store… If I tell people that I don’t watch or own a TV, they question me a lot! They cannot understand that I do not need nor do I want to watch TV! Wow! People can survive without having their eyes glued to a screen?!?!?! What a concept!
I tell all my friends and family to kill their TVs. =D

p.s.
Manuka honey is very hard to find in California….=(

sarah_priss – Regular exfoliation does help acne pigmentation scars so yes, I think the cloth would help a bit. But like I said in the article, don’t expect amazing miracles :)

Justine – Really? wow ..someone should import it.

I might just have to try this as I prefer to be as gentle as possible with my skin … it is easily damaged :) Will order one

Is it possible to purchase this cloth in the United Kingdom, or Europe even, does anyone know?

Hi,
Someone pointed out to me a few months ago that cotton is actualy quite abraisive in its self. Compared to a lot of sythetic fibres, it is great to scub and clean surfaces with. After hearing this I have taken to lighting rubbing my face with just a normal cotton wash cloth to see if could act as an exfoliant as well. I only wash my face with water and rub gently with my washer morning and night now. It may be my imagination, but my skin seems to be improving. So im not sure if its this or something else im doing, but I’m going to keep it up.

My skin felt smooth right after using a microdermabrasion cloth, but after a couple days I broke out in small pimples (under the skin). I think wash cloths in general are too irriating for my skin.

Exfoilation is very good for your skin. I would probably try honey i shrunk the pores or papaya enzyme scrub instead of a microderabrasion cloth. I am currently using earth therapudics bamboo cloth is real real soft even though its made from bamboo.

P.S. Fran and readers, do you know anywhere that you can get BEE YUMMY SKINFOOD i Canada thats not on the internet.

I can’t wait for you next raw vegan update. i hope that its going well….. :)

i was actually relating an almost similar situation last week, of how i stopped reading the newspapers for about a month and how oddly at peace i was feeling around that time. i have to agree with you on the ‘pushy’ advertising and media and how watching tv can really be quite draining sometimes because all the energy you have is just sitting there and vegetating in front of the screen.

as for the manuka honey, i was in australia when i saw your post on that and have been using it ever since. It has helped to take away the redness but in terms of healing cystic pimple, while it does eventually, it just takes forever for me! and by that i mean a week plus, and even then the bump is still fairly visible. a good thing i’ve discovered is that with diligent use, you can minimize scarring, even on Asian skin like mine which is prone to hyper pigmentation. Thumbs up for manuka honey! :)

The microcloth is something I use for my hair and body to absorb moisture quickly. I didn’t know it could be used as a scrub. I prefer using my sugar scrub… no risk of building up bacteria and makes you taste scrummy. ;)

I agree with Justine, Manuka Honey is very hard to find in California!!! I have yet to see it in any stores and any time I need some I order it from amazon.

I use the luxury face flannel from the body shop. It says you can rub off masks that you use and wash off the residue of your face wash but it occasionally burns a bit for my skin anyway. (I think its because of the friction.) Is this ‘burning’ sensation bad for acne? Otherwise, it gets dirt off my face. And it’s really soft.
