Update On Where I Am And How My Skin Is Doing

Well, it’s been ages since I recorded a video. I’ve had major technical problems with my video setup and traveling around didn’t help either.

But I’m now settled into a beautiful little house in Toronto so hopefully I’ll now be recording more videos for you!

Here is a little video I just recorded on what I’m up to and how my skin is doing:

Thanks for watching :)

Hi :)

We’ll I’m a guy ( so no pms :P ), but I find that somedays, like you said, I’ll look in the mirror and see almost perfect skin. But the day after, or whatever, I may have several pimples again. Or it will stay clear for a few weeks, then several pimples appear again. Ughh annoying

I know exactly what you mean! When I went to Colorado for a week to visit my family my skin just exploded. CO is a very dry place, and where I was in CO was pretty high up. I knew it was the dryness and altitude that was breaking me out, because along with the pimples I was getting my lips were pretty much chapped the entire time I was there. Now I have noticed a lot in your blog post and videos that you talk about being pretty healthy. Well I myself am not the healthiest. I admit to being a chronic cigarette smoker, and it seemed like right as I begun smoking that’s when my skin just went to hell. I have had acne for two years, and I just can’t seem to shake it. I really want to quit smoking and start living a healthier lifestyle. Oh and I want to start taking supplements. What do you suggest for supplements? And it cant have any avocado in it because I am allergic. And really what can I do besides quitting smoking so I can lead a healthier lifestyle? Because what ever you are doing seems to be working pretty darn well.

Awesome website Fran, I love it! I check it all the time.

Seema- Aww, you’re so lovely. Full of compliments :) Actually in all my videos in Brisbane I was using a natural shampoo that I bought from the health store. I can’t remember the brand (I prob switched a couple of times), but it contained tea tree oil. I’ve been using Redken since I’ve been traveling which is bad because it’s full of chemicals! And it’s a little expensive, but I’ll be switching back to a natural brand when I’m done. I think my hair looks good because of my ceramic flat iron which I use a lot. It really makes my hair soft and shiny :) With my flat irons I go for top of the range because I know they work so much better and last longer (I’m saying flat irons in plural because my Australian one doesn’t work in North America).

As for mascara, I use a natural brand from Levera. Again, expensive but chemical free! The color is ‘trend’ which is a blue black, which really brings out my blue eyes :)

Dante- Wow, where do I begin. For supplements, start with a good multi-vitamin. Go to the health store and ask for the best multi they have. You want one that will absorb into your body really well. I use one from NewChapter Organics and it’s fantastic. There are many other supplements you can try, but it’s great to start slowly so I think the multi is the first step.

And of course, quitting smoking will make a lot of difference. You’re putting a lot of toxins into your body with the smoking so it’ll be great if you can quit. I’ve heard from others how damn hard it is to stop though so I realize that it can be a challenge finally quitting :)

Apart from that, nourish your body by eating well because it makes A LOT of difference. You want to support your body by giving it all the vitamins and minerals that it needs to function properly. Think of how complicated our body is, and how it does all of these intricate little things all the time. Think of our lungs, our organs, our eyballs even, and how complicated they are. The only way all of these parts of our body can function is from the food we eat. If we feed it crap, then it’s going to function really crappy too.

I also do yoga and meditation, drink a lot of water, sleep at least 8 hours a night, and exercise every now and again (but fun exercise like walking with a friend or rollerblading). That’s all I really do. I hope that helps!
