Why It’s Important To Have A Strong Body And Mind Before A Detox

To those of you who’ve been looking forward to my Body Ecology Diet (BED) experiment, I’m sorry that I haven’t started it yet. After I arrived back in Australia my life spun a little bit out of control with that “I don’t belong here” feeling after a long overseas journey, and a breakup with my boyfriend.

I’m feeling much better now, but I’ve lost a bit of weight with the stress of the past month. So before I start the BED I want to build up my emotional and physical health so that I’m strong enough to put myself through such an intensive diet. I explain more in the video -

You make a good point, that you need to be strong physically and mentally in order to take part in a detox.

I was told the same thing by my doctor a few months ago and whenever I see these ads on tv for the detox programs, I thought you can just take them and expect miracles.

It’s too bad people don’t see that these programs are not a cure or magic pill, but they actually need to prepare themselves.

Have you ever considered a raw foods diet? Heard that’s great for skin. Can you offer tips on raw foods? I know you tried it…?

There is quite a bit of articles and websites on the internet about raw foods. But you should probably consult with like a holistic doctor to determine what your body requires because raw foods may not be right.

Hi Fran - just came back to your blog again and watched a few of your videos - great stuff!
What you speak about impacts so many people and it’s very tempting to just stay here and read all day!! :)

aa- No, I haven’t personally tried a raw food diet, and not sure if I will, time will tell :) I’m keen on doing the BED first anyway and seeing where that takes me. And tom is right, there is a LOT of information on the web about raw food.

Marta who comments a lot in here has a great raw food blog - http://rawfoodtip.com/
