I guess that my favorite natural skincare product would have to be Dickinson’s Witch Hazel. It cleans and purifies without overdrying.

Suki is one of my favorite natural skin care brand. Their Pure Facial Moisture is definitely my HG. Great for people with acne.

I like to use Aubrey Organics Amino Derm Gel Clear Skin Complex on my t-zone after washing my face in the morning.

#4 Barbara on 10.09.08 at 5:15 am

Although it’s not a skin care product, one of my favourites is the Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. Living in Canada, the harsh winters chap my lips really badly and nothing works as well as Burts on my lips. The best part is the refreshing minty feel after you put it on.

#5 Jon on 10.09.08 at 5:37 am

My Favourite all time use product would be
Aloe Vera Gel. I use the Aloe Vera Plant Gel for everything, natural and somewhat organic as well. The plant itself is great for cleaning the air in your own home so i’ve read in a magazine. The gel i use it for cuts n scrapes i or my family gets. I also use straight on as a hair gel it doesn’t have any smell and it makes my hair look nice. I also dab a bit on any pimples i get to lessen the redness and reduce healing time for them. It’s also great for sunburns and after the sun product. #1 thing what Ilove about my Aloe Vera Plant is that after i cut a piece off or take half a leaf off is that it reproduces itself over and over again. So meaning this Aloe Vera plant will keep on growing everytime i take a piece off. How good is that? I absolutely love this plant and its great for all around use.

My favorite would be jojoba oil. It makes my skin soft.

Hi guys,
I am looking forward to trying an all natural caribbean cleanser from the spa and brand Cher-Mere.Its so cool that I discovered the advertisement for this product because 1, its natural and 2, because its made here in the caribbean which means they have access to all our spring waters which they use in the product and lots of stuff you can’t find anywhere else in the world.

I like a swedish brand called “rosenserien”, it’s all natural, and the skincare product considers all skintypes

#9 Samantha on 10.09.08 at 7:41 am

I honestly haven’t had a favorite skincare product for so long because I never truly loved the quality of anything I tried (probably because it wasn’t all natural), but now I would have to say it is the bee yummy skinfood moisturizer. I know it might be too early to tell since I haven’t been using it for very long, but I am honestly so excited about it and the fact that it is all-natural and great for acne-prone skin. It absorbs so quickly into my skin and my face doesn’t look oily at all throughout the entire day (which is an amazing feat for my skin since it’s on the oily/combination side). It also makes me feel good that it has such great reviews about it. So for now, and hopefully much longer, it is my favorite skincare product.

#10 brenda on 10.09.08 at 8:03 am

manuka honey is my favourite natural product, i use it as a sweetener, to make weekly facial masks that help my skin to heal and keep it soft. i also use it whenever i get a sore throat. versatile and you can eat it!

I took a bath last night with Aveeno Soothing Bath Treatment. It is 100% Natural Colloidal Oatmeal (Fragrance Free). It is very soothing to the skin and mind.

#12 Kate on 10.09.08 at 9:34 am

I have not found a product that I am completely excited about. So I am very excited to start using the Bee Yummy Skin Food once I get it!

#13 Stephanie on 10.09.08 at 10:05 am

My favourite product is my Mineral Makeup by Everyday Minerals. It was recommended on this site and since useing it my skin feels lighter and less clogged. It gives me good coverage (even those red acne scares!) without looking caked and I don’t feel like I am wearing anything. It is easy to apply, not expensive and lasts for ages. An all round great product.

#14 Ashley on 10.09.08 at 10:25 am

I don’t really have a brand, but I love Aloe Vera Gel. It has always been the best moisturizer for my skin, without making me breakout.

#15 Elizabeth on 10.09.08 at 11:33 am

I haven’t really found that one sunscreen that works. Either it clogs my pores or it makes my skin oily. I will try this sunscreen. Let’s hope it works!

#16 Jorge on 10.09.08 at 11:36 am

weleeda lotion and lip balm! ooooh i love it so much! and the lotion helps with acne too!

#18 Jasmine on 10.09.08 at 12:58 pm

Bee Yummy is my favorite new skin product. I started using it a week and a half ago and I am very happy to report my face is glowing.

#19 James on 10.09.08 at 1:15 pm

I came to a conclusion that my most favorite product would have to be loreal bare naturale mineral concealer. As a guy sometimes i find it unfair how girls can conceal their belmishes while still having it be accepted by the public. With this conealer, it has SPF 25, crushed aloe vera, it is non-comedogenic, non-acnegenic, and looks like i am wearing nothing at all. It is a life saver.

#20 Keri on 10.09.08 at 1:22 pm

Strangely enough my favorite all natural product is more like my favorite vegetable… the cucumber! I would cut a piece of the cucumber and just cut the surface to appear like a chess board (lots of crisscross lines) and rub it all over my face. Let it dry. Do a few layers. Then wash it off, and my face would feel soft and moisturized. I love it!

#21 Tegan on 10.09.08 at 1:37 pm

My favourite natural product is definitely tea tree oil. I dilute it and dab it on pimples every night. Then once a week I like to do a facial steam with a few drops of tea tree. Thanks to your mini course Fran :)

#22 Mason on 10.09.08 at 1:53 pm

Well honestly I havent used a “all Natural” product yet.

The product I am using now was however recommended by you on your site.

I’m using cetaphil skin clenser and its doing wonders.

Ive stopped using everything except this and its helping so much.

#23 Kyle on 10.09.08 at 1:53 pm

Thanks Fran for doing this, I don’t know what we did to deserve you, but anyways:

My favorite natural skin care product is Apple Cider Vinegar, although I have yet to find the perfect one. Drinking and applying ACV probably cleared up at least 50% of my acne after not so long. It is a great cleanser too when taken properly internally. I realize that a natural skin care product is crucial if you want truly healthy skin, and ACV is just that. It is good for your body and for you complexion. Other pluses include it’s low price and availability.

#24 Aisa on 10.09.08 at 1:54 pm

My Favorite all natural product would have to be organic honey…I put in on as a mask for about 10 min, its yummy and makes your skin baby soft!

#25 Christian Malit on 10.09.08 at 1:54 pm

Well, I do not have a favourite skin product, but what i usually use is natural aloe Vera and green tea. Especially green tea, since it relaxes me whenever I’m stress and leaves my skin feeling natural and smooth. But, one product that i need occasionally, is a moisturizer that won’t clog my pores in any way and that is natural, because my skin tends to be dry on cold days.
Take Care,
Christian :)

#26 Emma on 10.09.08 at 1:54 pm

I would have to say Bee Yummy Skinfood is my fav product at the moment. I have only started using it, but it feels so wonderful so far on my skin. Its only the first few days of using it, and I think my skin is adjusting to the new moisturiser, but i am hoping from all the awesome reports that it gets my skin glowing!! It sinks in so nicely to your skin, its not oily and you can apply makeup pretty much straight after applying. Also knowing it is so natural, and recommended by Fran is also a bonus!!! Cant wait to see what it does for me!!

#27 Carly on 10.09.08 at 1:55 pm

i love thayer’s lavender witch hazel.
i like how it tones but my skin isnt zapped with alcohol.

#28 Victoria on 10.09.08 at 1:55 pm

My favourite natural product is Dr.Hauschka’s Normalizing Day Oil. I know that people with acne-prone or oily skin will cringe at the thought of applying anything slightly greasy on their faces, but this amazing product has never made me break out, and has even cleared my complexion somewhat (and to add on, overnight or in very short periods of time)!!
It does control the oilyness of my skin, and I find that my T-zone stays oil-free way longer than if I use my regular oil-free moisturizer (which is great, but unfortunately not all natural, it is called Complex 15). Anyhow, I would recommend Dr.Hauschka’s Normalizing Day Oil to people with acne-prone skin, or oily skin, but I must warn you that it is rather pricey. Instead of buying it, I would suggest you try a sample of it, by purchasing the Dr.Hauschka Daily Face Kit for Oily or Impure skin. (Don’t you just hate getting your skin called impure?? Argh..)

Another natural company that I like is Mario Badescu, and although I have not tried their famous Drying Lotion that apparently zaps pimples overnight (or at least whiteheads), I have gotten a few FREE samples with FREE shipping via their website. I live in Canada, and they are based in NYC, so the free shipping and generous samples were quite lovely to have. Just go on their website and fill out a quiz on your skin and they will list you products they’d recommend for your skin and you can order your free samples there.

Enjoy!

My fave natural skincare product is Blue Sage Naturals Skn Savr. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, doesn’t break me out, has helped clear my acne scarring, and is just a great moisturizer!

#30 Nicolas on 10.09.08 at 1:57 pm

My favorite product is earth science A-D-E creamy cleanser is for sensitive skin so you can use it several times a day without making your skin oily or over drying it, also is very cheap about 8 US dollars. My skin has been so much better since I started using it… besides is all natural stuff…

#31 phy on 10.09.08 at 1:57 pm

my favorite natural skin product is tea tree oil. it just clears out the bacteria and stops my acne from inflaming more. it’s good for that :)
thanks

#32 Aileen on 10.09.08 at 1:57 pm

My favorite product is using aloe vera at night before sleeping in with heavy blankets. Its helps blemishes but also significantly improves the texture of your skin!

#33 Filomena on 10.09.08 at 1:57 pm

jojoba oil! Its my favourite skin moisturizer, it really leaves your skin feeling healthy, and apple cider vinegar. I use it on my face and my hair, it makes life grand.

#34 Aryana on 10.09.08 at 1:59 pm

My favorite natural product is my moisturizer, by WashTheDayAway on Etsy. It’s Goji Berry/Green Tea and for combo/acne-prone skin. It’s just SO moisturizing but not greasy at all, and doesn’t break me out. Plus it has GOJI BERRIES, what more can you ask for? lol. It’s 100% natural and I believe some of the ingredients are organic as well.

#35 kat on 10.09.08 at 2:01 pm

Shalom!

I always opt for something cheap and natural..keeping it simple and not at all harsh.. 2 liters of water , exercise and high fiber diet really works if done religiously.. however for a favorite natural product i’d have to say : green tea. It does wonders to ur skin, giving a natural glow from within, cleanses, helps in circulation and whole umbrella of health benefits! ^–^ ciao!

God bless!

#36 Julia on 10.09.08 at 2:01 pm

I’ve just started looking for natural products without all the additives and chemicals that are harsh on my skin. :)

#37 Liv on 10.09.08 at 2:02 pm

I’m still looking for a favourite - a moisturiser that happily and consistantly moisturises when my skin is dry and doesn’t leave me feeling oily either… and isn’t too expensive and will rid my skin off any future blemishes, wrinkles etc etc !!!!

#38 Anne on 10.09.08 at 2:02 pm

I don’t have a favorite product, but I love green tea, to drink and to use on my skin. It makes it look nice. I wouldn’t go as far to say that it clears acne, but it makes the acneless skin on my face look great.
I love this highonhealth and I don’t what I would have done with out it and Fran. Whenever I see a new email come in from Fran I stop whatever Im doing at the time to read it. I would LOVE to recieve this package! thx so much for all that you do!!

#39 Rachael on 10.09.08 at 2:03 pm

My favourite natural product is Garden of Wisdom. Actually, it’s not a product it is a whole website full of products that have 90%(!!!!!!) cleared my face, and it’s stayed this way. My fave would have to be the HA serums to hold moisture, and the rosacea serum which is absoluteley fantastic for redness and acne. They are the only products that I have found that give moisture to oily skin without drying it or making it oily, with breaking out and without harshness. It leaves your skin soft and supple. The girls of the forum are fanastic and since there are so so many things, you can go on the forum and they will give you a routine full of cleansers, toners, exfoliants, (fruit exfoliants aswell!), acne treatments, serums, antioxidants, creams, treatments, masks, fruit mists, oils and lots lots more

Here it is, seriously it changed my life (cheesey, but true)

#40 Michelle on 10.09.08 at 2:08 pm

all of them, especially the lipgloss :)

#41 Dominique on 10.09.08 at 2:17 pm

Well to be honest, I’ve never really had much success with any of the products I’ve tried so far (and i’ve tried a lot lol) but nothing ever seems to make much difference. The only thing that seems to have helped slightly is my aloe vera gel which helps to fade my scars, but only very slightly. I have yet to find something that prevents or minimizes breakouts. On a happier note, I’ve just begun your mini course, so I’m now hopefully on my way to clearer skin. Also, having read your glowing review of the ‘Bee Yummy Skinfood’ moisturizer, and having done some research on it myself, I’m eager to give it a try, and with any luck, that will become my new favourite lol. :)

#42 Christina on 10.09.08 at 2:18 pm

I’ve starting using Live-Live Bee Yummy Skinfood since I saw your blog about it and it’s probably my favorite product I’ve used on my face now. Especially since it’s so natural. Thanks~

#43 Tracey on 10.09.08 at 2:27 pm

I have not yet found my favourite skin care product =( I dream of a product that it natural, will not clog my pores, protects me from the sun, leaves my skin feeling radiant, BUT offers substantial coverage for my blemishes. I highly doubt this dream product exists, but if it does let me know =)

#44 Kristin on 10.09.08 at 2:28 pm

I am really looking forward to receiving my Bee Yummy Skinfood and Inika Mineral makeup! I did buy some tea tree oil and it does work on blemishes! I also love my organic extra virgin coconut oil for my body moisturizer. Just one ingredient and I love the sweet smell and glowy finish it gives me. :)

#45 Belinda on 10.09.08 at 2:28 pm

My favourite product is Burt’s bees beeswax lip balm!
My lips used to be very chapped and i tried so many lip balms..but none of them worked. Ever since i started using burt’s bees my lips are neverrrr chapped!

#46 Angela Rehbein on 10.09.08 at 2:31 pm

I am awaiting my delivery of Bee Yummy Skin Food and Im very excited but for now my favourite natural Australian owned and made skin care product is anything from the Ego range. Their hand and body cream for dry skin is amazing. Thick but not greasy, beautiful and creamy and low in perfume. Transforms cracked feet, hands and elbows. I really think it is a very good product. Unlike some body creams that soften your skin until your next shower, this keeps on working and keeps your skin soft for days. You dont need to use alot of product and it isnt expensive either.

Anything from the Ego range is great.

Ang

#47 Rhonda on 10.09.08 at 2:33 pm

Until i’d discovered high on health i’d chopped and changed from one expensive skin care range to another, never happy with how my skin felt or looked. I’d shudder to think how much money i’ve spent trying to find a skincare regime that would help clear my acne without drying out my skin. After watching Frans video on products she uses I switched to the Miessence range and am now also using the Bee Yummy Skinfood moisturiser and a steam facial once a week with tea tree oil. For some reason i’d NEVER thought to go back to basics and use natural products on my skin. I was of the mind set that the more expensive the brand the better, but for me it did nothing more than make my skin red, dry and still not help my acne. I’ve discovered that Organic products of any kind have to be my favourite. My skin is in the best condition its been in for as long as I can remember and more importantly its no longer stinging and irritable.

#48 Carolina on 10.09.08 at 2:33 pm

I broke out about 3 weeks ago. I’m a little worried about it, since I’d never had acne problems. So I did a little research and I bought a cleanser and a toner by Dorothy Gray, both products are hypoallergenic and after the first application my skin feels great. I hope these two products will help clear my acne. I also wash my face several times a day, and I’m trying to eat healthy!
I would really love to find a healthy kind of make up, so that you can use it every day and not worry about clogged pores! I’ll try Mineral make up as soon as my acne clears up.

So that would be it, thank you Fran for all your tips!!

Carolina

#49 Taryl on 10.09.08 at 2:34 pm

My favorite product, simply enough, is honey! Raw manuka honey, especially, is so amazing and has done wonders for the texture and condition of my skin. I just apply it as a mask, full strength, and leave it on for half an hour. It is also a fabulous hair rinse mixed in 1 part honey, 1 part apple cider vinegar, 10 parts water.

Honey is so inexpensive and I love knowing exactly what I am putting on my face. That it is so brilliantly effective is a definite plus. The slight peroxide reaction that naturally occurs in the honey has improved my acne visibly, and since I do struggle with picking having a sticky mask on my face keeps me from touching it, makes my skin hydrated and bright, and dries out the pimples quickly. There are no downsides I have found, truly.

#50 Shane on 10.09.08 at 2:35 pm

my aim toothpaste. i use it as a spot treatment for about five to ten minutes, but no longer cause it could burn a hole in my face!

#51 mark on 10.09.08 at 2:35 pm

I haven’t had too much luck finding the perfect natural face cleanser. But currently using Purity Made Simple which, although not natural, works great.

#52 Sydney O. on 10.09.08 at 2:41 pm

I love Healing Foot Creme by Sally Hansen. It is cheap but when you put it on after washing your feet, it feels the same as when you get an expensive pedicure. It has tea tree oil in it, but I am not sure if it is all natural.

#53 mish on 10.09.08 at 2:43 pm

id like a lotion or cream for my face that helps dry skin for sensitive skin.

#54 Jason on 10.09.08 at 2:44 pm

My favorite is Egyptian Miracle Cream! Great for acne scars and uneven skin tone!

#55 Mel on 10.09.08 at 2:52 pm

My favourite natural skin care product is called ‘Venus Body Lotion’ by Hidden Valley Handcrafts in Broome Western Australia. I don’t use this on my face or for my acne as I am still in the process of trying to the right product for my acne problem. The ‘Venus Body Lotion’ contains ingredients such as Macadamia and Jojoba Oils, essential oils of geranium, rosewood, palma rosa, sandalwood, clary sage and madarin. It is described as being ‘feminine, soothing and balancing’. It makes me feel really special when I put it on and makes my skin feel and smell lush. Hidden Valley Handcrafts make their own natural soaps and skin care products which are beautiful and unique. I first came across them when I visited the Broome markets and saw their array of hand made soaps which smelt fantastic. Living in such an isolated Kimberley town can make it difficult to find quality skin care products, so it is great to have a litle local business who makes their own natural products. I am yet to try out their facial skin care range, but if they are as good as the body lotion, I’m sure I won’t be dissapointed. You can check out their website at http://www.hiddenvalleyhandcrafts.com.au/

#56 Tarsh on 10.09.08 at 2:59 pm

Hi,

One of my favourite cleansers is Anago Black Soap Facial Cleanser. It isn’t like traditional soap that leaves your skin dry your face rather it cleans without stripping the acid mantle. It is also completely natural - yay. I have combination skin and it really helps to reduce oiliness.

It is available at http://www.vitalenatural.com.au

#57 Jaime on 10.09.08 at 2:59 pm

I LOVE eminence organics eucalyptus cleanser!!! It smells so… I dono… clean. I also love their Mineral Make-up. Its a natural 30 SPF with pretty great coverage and comes in a tube making it super portable. It also smells like fruits - yummy! Another Fav. is Suki’s transformative facial clay -spot treatment/mask - 2 for 1!!
I ordered bee yummy skin food and I am very much looking forward to trying it. I have yet to find a cleanser that I like.

#58 Jimmy Song on 10.09.08 at 3:22 pm

My favorite natural organic products are;
- Miessence Purifying Cleanser
- Miessence Purifying Blemish Gel
- Bee Yummy Skin Food

I love those products. Although those aren’t miracle products, it make my skin look and feel better. I use them everyday because I love them so much.

#59 Ryan on 10.09.08 at 3:34 pm

My favourite isn’t really a product. But just getting lots and lots of sunlight seems to get rid of zits great but not work up my excema.

#60 yadira on 10.09.08 at 3:38 pm

i haven’t really tried natural products on my skin, what i have been doing lately is just eating better and that has helped me the most so far. so i guess that my favorite natural product in healthy food…but there is something i’ve been looking for and that is natural rose water i have found some but they are not natural and i have found instructions on how to do it my self but it’s hard to find roses that have not been touched by chemicals.

#61 Katie on 10.09.08 at 3:44 pm

This may sound weird– But I love making a mask of raw cocoa and putting it on my face! It leaves it very glowy afterwards! (And I love drinking it too!) :)

#62 Nu on 10.09.08 at 3:45 pm

My favorite product is unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar. It’s packed full of vitamins and works great to dry up acne.

#63 Dian on 10.09.08 at 3:45 pm

There are many natural products that I like, but the best of the lot would be Natural Hydrating Day cream from Banalasta. I first discovered this brand from this blog (thanks Fran!) and it is a really good moisturizer for my sensitive skin. I’ve been using this product for six months now and my skin is much better than it was before. Plus I really like the soft smell of aromatic oils in it and as they said - it’s all natural!

#64 Alison on 10.09.08 at 3:48 pm

I, like Elizabeth, am looking for a good sunscreen! My skin is soo sensitive to the sun, so I really need to wear one, but everything I’ve tried clogs my pores something terrible, and makes my oily skin look way more oily than it is. Does a non-comedogenic sunscreen exist??

#65 Gwen on 10.09.08 at 3:49 pm

Hi Fran,

I was very happy this year to find a natural sunscreen called “Colorescience Sunforgettable 30 spf sun protection” that does not have a chemical base and its not a cream, so it does not clog pores. It’s a powder! You just dust it on liberally after applying whatever moisturizer and/or makeup. It is made up of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as a natural mineral sun block.

This is the first summer that I have not broken out due to the combination of chemicals, heavy cream and possible allergic reaction, that I would get with regular sunscreens. It even comes in a roller ball and three tints for different colours of skin so you can use it all over your body.

I used it on my kids this year and felt much better about the protection and not having to worry about the long term effects (possibly carcinogenic) of the regular brands of chemical based sunscreens out there. I even use it alone as makeup, it feels great and makes your skin tone look even.

The website is http://www.colorescience.com to get information about it. I bought it from http://www.dermstore.ca (for canadians) and its also availabe at http://www.skinstore.com (for americans).

#66 Jess on 10.09.08 at 3:50 pm

My favorite product is emu oil. It doesn’t make my acne-prone skin break out, while it moisturizes my skin and helps heal old acne scars. It also has anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties. Lastly, it can be used as an eye-makeup remover :D
It’s pretty much the perfect skin care product.

#67 Renee on 10.09.08 at 3:53 pm

What I like to do is buy these little facial mask templates that are shrunk into little cylinder tablets. Once you put them into a solution they expand and you can pull the mask apart. They cost fairly cheap, about $10 for a dozen or two. You can make your own mask solutions: (1) Milk and two drops of olive oil (moisturizing); (2) egg white (whiten and firms); (3) honey and cinnamon (antibacterial); (4) apple cider vinegar (promotes blood circulation, pH); (5) tea tree oil; (6) any leftover toner; etc…. you can come up with anything that has natural healing properties and just throw the mask in, let it absorb, and pull it apart to leave on your face 10-20 minutes. The masks look like this: http://www.one2fit.com/gb_12_2_cat79_sub15_product298.htm

#68 Yuka on 10.09.08 at 4:10 pm

My favorite natural skin care product is Thoroughly Clean Face Wash from Desert Essence. It’s cheap and works well on my acne. I started using this product a month ago and my acne got better and better each day. I love it and I am going to keep using it<3

#69 MiYu on 10.09.08 at 4:15 pm

Hi from Hungary! :)

My favourite is a hungarian natural skincare product: Ilcsi Cosmetics. http://www.ilcsi.com
Someday I want to test Juice Beauty and Bee Yummy.

Have a nice day!

#70 Kate on 10.09.08 at 4:16 pm

My new favourite all natural treat is Lavender oil moisturiser. I am into aromatherapy and am a big fan of tea tree oil for spot clearing, but I have recently found out that lavender oil mixed with a base oil or natural base moisturiser is also great for acne skin. The Lavender soothes, reduces redness and can apparently even help scarring. I haven’t tested it long enough to see with the scarring, but so far my skin feels great and the heavenly smell helps to relax me and calm my face down even more.

#71 Genesis on 10.09.08 at 4:18 pm

Bee Yummy Skin Food! This is by far been the best moisturizer I have ever used. Soothing, natural, and oh-so-beneficial for skin texture and post hyperpigmentation. I’m very pleased with this product and will probably never use another moisturizer again! <3

#72 Monika on 10.09.08 at 4:19 pm

hi.
my favourite natural skincare product is the Cleansing Cream by Dr. Hauschka. I also like their shampoos.

#73 Jhaela on 10.09.08 at 4:21 pm

Hi Fran!!!

The Live-Live Bee Yummy Skinfood really caught my attention. During the course, you gave me some information about this product and from then on, I was looking forward to trying it. I’m in Vietnam, so the products you mentioned are not readily available and I was disappointed.

Though I haven’t tried it yet, the Live-Live Bee Yummy Skinfood is my favorite, aside from the positive responses of the people who use it, I believe in the natural power of honey. So I hope that this product will also begin its circulation around Asia. I will be first in line, for sure!!!

Oatmeal.

It’s the only thing that calms my skin; without it I’d be itching all over. All I have to do is bathe in it about once a week, and my eczema is almost a non-problem. When my skin is particularly dry, I like to add olive oil in the mix too. I come out all soft and moisturized, it’s such a great feeling.

#75 Rachel on 10.09.08 at 4:37 pm

I have been desparate to try the Bee Yummy Skinfood, especially after reading your glowing review of it (along with others). Unfortunately, I’m still very wary of ordering products online after a few incidents, and am just hoping that this product will eventually hit Aussie stores soon, although maybe I will give online ordering one more shot…

#76 raquel garcia on 10.09.08 at 4:37 pm

i will be so happy fran if you choose me because i tried so many products but all of them didn’t really work. i start having more pimple and my face gets so dry….

#77 Mandy on 10.09.08 at 4:38 pm

My all time favorite natural skin care product would have to be niacinamide powder (also known as vitamin b3.) There are studies proving it to be great for fighting acne (compared to a prescription acne antibiotic called clindamycin… a 4% niacinamide gel cleared 82% of the participants, while only 68% cleared with the prescription. Pretty cool eh?) It’s all due to the powerful anti-inflammatory effects, I believe.

Also, it’s a natural skin lightener for those dealing with hyperpigmentation (studies proving that as well.)

And last but not least, it’s anti-aging! :D I’m still young (turning 20), but it’s NEVER too early to start on an anti-aging routine lol. ;) Studies show that when using niacinamide topically, it reduces wrinkles, improves the skins natural moisture barrier, reduces sallowness, improves elasticity, etc. etc.

Best part is, for any of us poor college students, its cheap to buy it in bulk. It’s water soluable so you can add it to any moisturizer or gel you’d like really, such as aloe vera gel. I’ll sometimes mix it with water and make a paste out of it to use as a face mask at times. Or else I’ll just add it to my moisturizers. Good stuff 8)
Whoops, this turned out more like an essay than a simple response! haha.

#78 Annie on 10.09.08 at 4:39 pm

My favorite natural skincare product would have to be Shahnaz Hussain Exfoliating Scrub Anti-aging Formula — it makes my face feel renewed and youthful with absolutely NO CHEMICALS whatsoever.

#79 Chrissy on 10.09.08 at 4:57 pm

My favorite Natural Skincare product is Aloe! Aloe Straight from my own little plant. I use it on my nose after I have a facial with extractions. I use it on my lips in the winter. I even use it as a cuticle treatment for my nails. I love it and I make sure I am super good to my Aloe plant. Simplicity at it’s finest.

#80 Eddie on 10.09.08 at 5:04 pm

My favorite natural skincare product would have to be Aloe Vera. I usually buy the one that comes in a gel form but sometimes when i need to just use a little bit like, on a scrape or something i just take a little dab of the one i have on my backyard. Well, it’s not really mine it’s my mom’s lol. She’s been using it since she was a kid (she’s from Mexico so the plant is a native to where she used to live) and just recently i’ve started using it too. Maybe it’s not THE greatest thing on Earth but it does have a lot of medicial value. Or at least to some extent. I live in California so sometimes i get sunburned when i’m outside for to long and the Aloe Vera works great. It just softens and soothes your skin. I started using it because it helps your skin to heal faster after you’ve had a breakout. That, and it helps the redness go away. When i use it as a moisturizer it doesn’t make my skin oily like other moisturizers do. I really like using it in my masks. Oh, i also love Cucumber!

#81 Maria on 10.09.08 at 5:08 pm

Fran, I don’t really have or use a single natural skin care product.
The truth is that the products I use have nothing to do with what you are trying to pass down through your mini course.
I am currently on roccutane and not at all satisfied with the condition of my skin, so I don’t think I have the right or deserve to comment positively on natural skin care products….
But, I must say, I really want to see if going natural will benefit my skin…maybe it will make me feel and be high on health!!

#82 luke on 10.09.08 at 5:23 pm

tea tree oil is amazing. I owe it my life. Thanks for turning me on to it fran!!!

#83 sharon on 10.09.08 at 5:30 pm

I would have to say that Bee Yummy is my new favorite skin product. I began using it a few weeks and ago and I am extremely happy to state that my face is glowing and feeling so soft and smooth. Having sensative skin and acne prone, I find this is very gentle on my skin.

#84 Chii on 10.09.08 at 5:32 pm

My favorite, favorite natural skin care product is Green Tea. Great as a steam facial to open up your pores and making your face soft and glowing!

#85 qwerty on 10.09.08 at 5:42 pm

My favourite skin care product = Green tea!
magical stuff :)

#86 josh on 10.09.08 at 5:44 pm

My favourite natural skin care product would have to be, Kosmea’s organic rosehip oil!! It doesnt make my skin too oily, penetrates deep into the skin without causing any breakouts :)

#87 Eden on 10.09.08 at 6:03 pm

Gotta say I love Bee Yummy Skin Food! I’ve been using it for a little over a week. I didn’t see any improvements over the first week but I’m noticing a reduction in redness and amount. Yay!

#88 Raymond on 10.09.08 at 6:22 pm

My favourite natural skincare product would be Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner and also Kiehl’s Tea Tree Toner. I have also been using Sea Mud Mask from Assata and its been working very well for me so far. Once in a while, i would apply aloe vera on my face. It definitely helped to clear and prevent my acne. :)

#89 Emma Bramley on 10.09.08 at 6:23 pm

Hi, my favourite skin care product is clean and clear blemish moisturiser as it leaves my skin feeling fresh and cool and really helps with my dry skin.

#90 Kim on 10.09.08 at 6:26 pm

Hi Fran, I can’t wait to try the BeeYummy Skin Food!!!

#91 Ida on 10.09.08 at 6:52 pm

My fav is honey and cinnammon which I mix together to sooth my inflammation and reduce breakouts. It works wonders for me : 0 )

#92 Emma on 10.09.08 at 7:17 pm

Hi Fran, I have to say that my fave natural skin care product is tea tree oil. I use it to dry up any spots I find and put it in my bath so a relaxing and “disinfecting” bath when i’m ill (which seems to be all the time recently!) I also use it to steam my face occasionally when i feel that my skin is all congested and it really does seem to help my skin! I think everyone should have some in their bathroom!

#93 Ross on 10.09.08 at 7:38 pm

My favourite product would probably be Dr Hauschka’s Cleansing Cream and Clarifying Toner. I’ve had really bad acne for around 6 years and finally I have found a product that’s helping keep those annoying red bumps away.

#94 Samuel on 10.09.08 at 7:48 pm

Hey Fran, I’ve gotta tell you that your website is a real gold mine. I enjoyed every messages I received from you and trying to use them in my everyday life.

So to answer your question of which natural skin care product I use, it’s simple like a pimple( ahha had to do it as we are all so used to it) I use the bee yummy moisturizer. The big deal with this moisturizer is that it does not leave your skin oily or it does not clog my pores as I have a really sensitive skin that clogs easily. It really soaks into the skin like water in a sponge. I’ve been seeing great results since I started using it. I’ve also started Yoga class as you told you us to do( see I’m a very good student ;) and to be really honest with you, it is fun. It’s relaxing and usually yoga session is over in a blink. I consider this practice as a natural skincare also because it does not include chemicals and it is good for you skin and over that, for your self-esteem. I found out that it gives me time to reflect and it’s not also good for my skin but for my brain too! I didn’t really change my diet because I was already a health freak( as my friend call me) eating 3 apples a day but I know a healthy diet has a major impact on skin and I consider it my number 1 natural skin care. The better you treat your body, the better it will treat you. Alot of sleep helps getting rid of acne too and sleeping is so much fun so you are killing 2 birds with one stone( I think it’s the right idiom to express my idea, sorry I’m still learning English, I’m french) Well I guess I’m done, sorry for the huge response but I think I’m slowly becoming like you, ‘High’ on health! thank you again Fran my friend

#95 Shyamala Pillay on 10.09.08 at 8:11 pm

Dear Fran,

My all time favorite natural skin care product has to be the home made tumeric and neem facial mask that I do it my self. You just have to get the tumeric powder and mix it together with the neem leave that has been smashed. Mix it together to form a paste and put it on your face. It has really helped in controling my acne and make my face healthier looking. Really love it.

If there’s one natural product that I will was made available would be a natural sunsreen product with SPF of 40 and above. They do have SPF30 but I still get tan if I’m outdoors with it

#96 Naomi on 10.09.08 at 8:16 pm

I have just received Bee Yummy skinfood and I am really excited to see the benefits it will have on my skin. I also love using Everday Mineral make-up as it makes me feel so much more confident when I do have breakouts.

#97 Ossian on 10.09.08 at 8:20 pm

Hi Fran, I’ve tried many many products and am still looking for ‘THE ONE’. The natural product with the best results so far was a neem cream that I bought from a health food shop in South Carolina, while travelling. I went through the pot contented that it wasn’t making my spots worse, finished the pot only to find that I couldn’t find it in any health food shop in San Francisco, a few weeks later. I moved on to Cetaphil which only worked for 2-3 weeks before giving me quite a few spots and had disposed of the neem cream pot without realising it. I live in London and always keep an eye out for the pot’s design because I didn’t note the company name; if I come across it I’ll be sure to let you know. Cheers

#98 Annick on 10.09.08 at 8:21 pm

I’m very new to Australia and this website, but I am already loving it!!
I haven’t found my favourite natural skin care product, but I was reading all these great things about Bee Yummy Skin food and am already excited to use it!!

#99 Leila on 10.09.08 at 9:40 pm

My ‘can’t live without’ natural skin care product would have to be manuka oil. Like tea tree oil, I use it for blemishes, as an antiseptic, and also blend in a bit with my shampoo to prevent dandruff. I like the smell better than regular tea tree oil, although they are related, and it works really well!

#100 Andrea on 10.09.08 at 9:42 pm

I love my homemade exfoliant made of olive oil and sugar. I rub it around in circles on my face, rinse with water, and then wash my face with a gentle cleanser. My skin always feels soft and refreshed!

#101 Chris on 10.09.08 at 9:54 pm

I use to use Proactiv, with varying effects. So I stopped using it and interestingly, my face improved (before reading your blog), and when I started reading your emails, I found I was doing some of the things you had suggested and tweaked areas I could improve. Products I’m looking for, are natural moisturizers that can help maintain my face and prevent and manage outbreaks.

Keep up the good work!
Chris

#102 jenni on 10.09.08 at 10:02 pm

My face and body is over half a century old now, and I have used many varied and expensive skin care products for 40+years, until I tried virgin coconut oil for everything! if I have any nasties I use ozonated coconut oil. if I have a bite or sting I use himalayan crystal salt brine solution. I hung onto my collection of ‘best’ products for a few years but eventually dumped them; thousands of pounds worth, all in favour of the very cheap above! all natural, too! ;o)

#103 Joanna on 10.09.08 at 10:05 pm

My favorite is Chagrin Valley soaps. They are completely all-natural (you can actually read the ingredients list and it looks like English… lol), they smell amazing, and they are so nice on my skin.

#104 Semy on 10.09.08 at 10:07 pm

DERMASURE Dermavital BB cream is one of the most popular products in Korea and since I’ve been using it my skin hasn’t been getting irritated by the sun and it helps with getting rid of scars.

#105 Shaz on 10.09.08 at 10:22 pm

hey sweety.. the thing m gonna share with u might scare ur arse off but the reality is m hvbeen using cow dung..but all in vein as is sounds :D..so m in great need of these products..THANX..m sure u gonna consider my request :)

#106 Squig on 10.09.08 at 10:35 pm

Hello, Fran. First I just have to thank you for your email from a while ago about feeling ugly with acne, but how others don’t concentrate on your acne and still see beauty. That email came at a time when i was really down about myself, and it gave me the boost I needed. I read that email at least once a week and it inspires me. On topic now, my favorite natural skincare product would have to be Burt’s Bees Radiance Day Cream. My skin is very dry, which is unusual for acne-prone skin. Almost all acne related skin care is for oily skin, but the Radiance Day Cream, although not specifically for acne-prone skin, has worked wonders on my skin. It contains Royal Jelly which is fabulous for skin, and has many, many nutrients. My skin is 1000% better than it was even just a month ago, and I attribute a lot of that to this Day Cream.

Thank you so much for your emails, Fran. You may not realize it, but they truly touch people.

All the best.

#107 Elanor on 10.09.08 at 10:43 pm

I like Tea Tree Oil and Baking Soda.
Tea Tree Oil helps moisturize and kill icky germs, but not over do it on my already annoying skin. The baking soda is a nice exfoliant, too! And they’re both fairly easy to get!

#108 Janine on 10.09.08 at 11:00 pm

I would have to say Aloe Vera is my favorite natural skincare product. It does wonders for my acne scars

#109 Simmy on 10.09.08 at 11:03 pm

To be really honest I am still searching for products that are really good for my skin, nothing seems to help me a lot anyway I am waiting for yummy skinfood samples…

#110 Natalia on 10.09.08 at 11:19 pm

So far I don’t have a favorite. It used to be Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for oily skin, but after enough I use I notice I need more and more to counteract the dryness of my oily/dry skin. I fear it’s no good for me anymore.
I’m excited about trying the Live-Live Bee Yummy Skinfood! It’s next.

#111 Jonathan on 10.09.08 at 11:21 pm

I don’t have any favourite natural skin care product but what I wish would be an all natural aloe vera moisturer! Aloe vera have many uses such as, natural healing effects, reduce redness on the skin, soothe the skin when you have sun burn and last but not least it is fantastic to apply aloe vera on your pimples!

#112 Constance on 10.09.08 at 11:24 pm

I am DYING to try Bee Yummy Skinfood after reading your review of how good it was for your skin. I have searched high and low, and you are right - the only way to get it is direct from their website. After having tried soooo many different products with no success, I’m hesitant to dole out anymore money to try something new.

#113 Lea on 10.09.08 at 11:29 pm

Hey Fran!!!

I’m currently in LOVE<3 with Bee Yummy Skin Food and Juice Beauty Cleanser. Since using both products, my skin has improved tri-folds. Your website and product reviews have changed my life. I don’t know where my skin would be now without these products. I got the Juice Beauty Cleanser as a gift and didn’t use it until one day I ran out of my usual cleanser. After using it for a couple days, I was hooked. My skin was glowing and I wasn’t breaking out like crazy. On a side note, I walked 20+ blocks to buy my jar of Bee Yummy. It was the best walk of my life. ^_^V

I look forward to discovering new products through your website. Thanks!!!

#115 Maria on 10.09.08 at 11:37 pm

My favorite natural skin care product is Rosafina lip salve from Barefoot Botanicals (http://www.barefoot-botanicals.com/shop/lip-care.asp), they also have a facial spritz that feels and smells really good! (http://www.barefoot-botanicals.com/shop/face-care.asp).

#116 Sandi on 10.09.08 at 11:38 pm

I’ve never had a favorite skin care product because none of them really work on my super oily and large pored skin, but I’ve been making progress.

In preparation for my wedding, I have been using Avalon Organics Lavender milk cleanser and the enzyme exfoliating scrub, and it’s helped my redness and calmed my skin down a bit. The lavender is supposed to be antibacterial too, so the breakouts are limited now.

Add Real Purity creme foundation and my skin is getting enough hydration, finally. It feels nice to have a foundation that doesn’t feel like it’s clogging your pores, and it’s really light even for my oily skin.

So, in all I think those three things are my favorites that are contributing to better skin.

#117 wimzie on 10.09.08 at 11:38 pm

my favourite is chamomile used with cotton on face, because i have many red spots all over my face

#119 Aarabi on 10.10.08 at 12:12 am

water!! my favorite skin care ‘product’ EVER!! i get these breakouts and wash my face with plain water at least twice a day apart from 2 washes with an ayurvedic face wash and my skin feels great after the water washes. its good from both inside and out :D love it :D

#120 agnei on 10.10.08 at 12:16 am

my favourite so far is Apple Cider Vinegar. I use it as a face water. it as also great for drinking as it cleans the body from inside.
my last discovery is to pour it over my hair after washing. makes it soft ald silky. I have very curlu hair, it works just perfect. however, this is not a skin care:)

#121 Emily on 10.10.08 at 12:21 am

I guess my favorite skin care product is the White Tea Skin Guardian from Origins. It’s all natural and protects your skin from oxidation.

#122 Lily on 10.10.08 at 12:22 am

The best product ever is the Mega Mushroom face cream from Origins. It smells so good! It moisturizes without being oily.

#123 Rachel on 10.10.08 at 12:32 am

my favourrrite skincare product is my mango beeswax lip salve, i got it from a little farm shop in cornwall when i was on holiday, but its so brilliant and really helps to stop my lips dry. not looking forward to it running out because i cant really go all the way to cornwall for it. i find beeswax is really good for lips so the bee yummy skinfood has already given me high hopes :) xx

#124 RuiZhi on 10.10.08 at 12:36 am

Currently my face is still in a broung state.meaning full of acnes and scars .still finding a product which is natural , heal my skin and clears my acne fast … ;(

#125 franticallysimple on 10.10.08 at 12:37 am

Well…I don’t like the oil cleanse method - two months later and I am still fighting the mass breakout; however, tea-tree oil is a new discovery for me. I like it. :)

#126 PATRICIA WARD on 10.10.08 at 12:44 am

I am always looking for some thing natural to use on my face.Pure Honey with oat meal has to be my favourite.I mix the oat meal flakes with honey and use as an face mask.I have oily skin so really helps with this.My moto is:If its good for the inside surely its good for the outside too

#127 KillerTofu on 10.10.08 at 12:52 am

In an attempt to name something not mentioned, I’ll say my favorite natural skin care product is a tea bag–as a redhead, my mom taught me long ago that if you have a sunburn, applying a tea bag to the area helps reduce the pain and inflammation. It really does work!

#128 Lorien on 10.10.08 at 1:14 am

I started using Amino Genesis face wash (”Really, Really Clean”) and moisturizer this summer! It has really improved my skin tone, and has made all dry flaky skin moisturized! It makes it so easy to apply makeup! The two products contain natural ingredients that work to put deeply into the skin: more of what our bodies have and need to repair skin cells. I’ve also been trying baking soda mixed with a little water, as an exfoliant two times a week, and I’ve been really happy with the results. My skin feels and looks supple, and doesn’t ever feel ‘angry’ anymore.

#129 Ann on 10.10.08 at 1:16 am

I was sceptical about tree tea oil, but it is more effective at clearing up my breakouts than my $70 skincare treatment. I’m a believer now!

#130 alex on 10.10.08 at 1:24 am

My favorite skin care would be the Korres clearing complexion regimen kit, everything in it is natural with Sage and Echinacea and Thyme the Echinacea is great because its good for your immune system and the face washes leave your skin feeling smooth and clean and the moisturizer is not even a little greasy so it doesent clog up my pores.
Plus i love mineral everything. i.d Bare Minerals is also my favorite thats the only make up i ever use it doesent cake on or make my face greasy looking and its also very pure and doesent clog up your pores.
iv even found that some times it helps clear up my skin when i wear it.
especially with the skin rev-er upper its full of vitamins and drys smoothly and protects your face all day long.

#131 alex on 10.10.08 at 1:31 am

Oh and ive been looking everywhere for the bee yummy skinfood ive gone to my health food store near me and i cant find it anywhere i have no idea where to get it.

#132 Tessa jelten on 10.10.08 at 1:32 am

I use a simple tea tree oil and a line of skin products from kiss my face obsessily organic, i use Break out ( acne gel) so refined ( a very gentle cleansing scrub) and pore shrink ( a facial mask) please choose me! :D

#133 Maeve on 10.10.08 at 1:32 am

I recently fell in LOVE with Pangea Organics. They’ve got a great line of skin care product ranging from lip balm (my favorite!) to shampoos and conditioners. All of their ingredients are natural with none of that harsh chemical stuff mixed in… but the absolute best part is the packaging. Pangea makes a line of products that come in boxes made out of that egg carton-like material, but these have flower or herb seeds mixed into them. So, when you buy a product, instead of throwing out the box you can plant it in your backyard! I love any thing that is good for the environment and for me, too!

#134 Zellent Low on 10.10.08 at 1:40 am

Being a pilot with acne on my face has never been easy. But my life changed after I started using Natures Gate Natural Results(TM) Acne Treatment System (www.natures-gate.com). My skin has not been easy on me. A 100% organic product usually backfires me, so I chose the semi-chemical organic product.
My skin has greatly improve from Mild to almost perfect! Now, I’ve boast up my confidence level and I can notice a few air-stewardesses throwing small glances on me when I walk by.
Ever since then, I’ve been able to use all-natural products to maintain the balance of osmosis level of my skin. I feel great!
Of course, not to forget the amazing tips from the subscription on Fran’s blog!
I owe you big time!

#135 Kamilla R. on 10.10.08 at 2:09 am

I Have had acne for 4 years now, it started when I was 17 and I feel like I have tried every single thing there is to try to heal my acne and have a clear and healthy looking skin.

I have spent lots and lots of money, got medicine from my doctor, tried acupuncture, nature theraphists, have been eating finatically healthy, stoped picking and sqeezing, drink lots of water, only use natuaral products on my face.

So the product I am looking for is a product that works well for me. I have ordered The Bee Yummy Skin Food and and I pray with all my heart that this time I have finally bought something that makes just a little improvement on my skin.

#137 Beverly on 10.10.08 at 2:20 am

my fav cleanser right now is the Purifying Neem Face Wash made by Himalaya Herbals. my friend brought it back for me when she went on a trip to the Himalayas in India. it’s great. it feels silky on the skin and leaves your face feeling soft and smooth like a baby!

#138 Suzy on 10.10.08 at 2:23 am

For me, it would have to be Chagrin Valley’s Castile & Calendula soap. They actually market it as a baby soap, but obviously adults can use it too ;)

I’ve had eczema since I was 3 years old (am 25 now) and we’re talking about all over the body eczema. For years my mum would use cortisone creams on me, not knowing the harm those creams do to skin and especially young skin. No doctor ever let her know.

I would wake up and find blood on my bedsheets because I’d scratch my skin open in the night because it itched soooo much. Sometimes I could barely use my hands because the skin was so damaged.

Then a couple of months ago, I found CV’s Castile & Calendula soap and it has done a world of good for my skin :) Took some patience but eventually I noticed my skin improving. And now I’m using it on my face as well and I’m hoping it will help to soothe my facial acne :)

#139 Rebecca on 10.10.08 at 2:45 am

I have one of those ball balms.. they work so well i love them:) I got mine at a hair salon for only 3 bucks!!!! it lasts for a long time it smells great, and its AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

#140 Theresa M on 10.10.08 at 2:55 am

my favourite acne treatment is ‘Drawing Paste’ from Kiehls. it’s a sticky blue paste that you would probably only apply at night when sleeping alone as it looks a bit odd, but IT WORKS. it somehow manages dry up whiteheads, shrink red spots and also helps with painful under-the-skin bumps. i would highly recommend it.

#141 Alakhi on 10.10.08 at 3:07 am

One of my favorite skin products is aluminum free baking soda as a mask. This is an awesome exfoliator. I never have found it to be too harsh as some people say. My skin is much more smooth after using it. I also love glycerin soap. (I switch off.) I then use witch hazel as an all over toner. On my breakout areas I spot treat with rubbing alcohol. As a moisturizor i use niacinamide cream. On top of that I use sunscreen on my nose and cheeks. Nothing has helped my skin more than the occasional apple fasting with the enema before you sleep. My breakouts dramatically decrease for about a week and all of my inflammation on my face goes away. Even my eyes become clearer and less puffy. I guess this shows I either have a food allergy or a bad digestive system. I am working on both. I just went and had a food allergy test, the results should be back this week. Blessings to you all!!

Oh also geranium oil as a spot treatment is awesome!! much better than tea tree.

#142 Chelsey on 10.10.08 at 3:24 am

My favorite Natural Product is not actually a product. It’s Aloe Vera…I bought an Aloe Vera Plant and when-eve my eczema or acne starts to flare up, I break off a part of the plant (the plant heals itself and closes up and continues to grow) and rub it on my face. Works wonders and the plants are SUPER cheap :)

#143 Jenny on 10.10.08 at 3:27 am

At the moment my face is at the really annoying stage where you think its starting to clear up a bit but then even more spots appear:( , and i still havent found that perfect skin treatment , but from reading a few of these im going to start trying the tee tree oil :) i hope everyone has luck with their skin thanks fran :)

#144 aminah on 10.10.08 at 3:30 am

My favourite skin care product is vaseline! I dont know what i would do without it It helps my skin when its red and flakey due to all the crap i use on my face lol

Kimberly Sayer of London’s Ultra Light Facial Moisturizer SPF 25 is the only daytime moisturizer with a significant SPF that is not only natural, but also does not make my oily skin feel greasy.

#146 Lucy on 10.10.08 at 3:42 am

I’ve tried many natural items, but we have recently been through some tough times and can’t really afford to splurge and experiment. Some home remedies really take a toll on my skin. My skin is extremely sensitive and acne prone so I am looking for a product that keeps my combination skin beautiful and clear without huge expenses. I have tried almost every acne remedy out there, so far, the results, if any, have been minor. I’m still hoping! Thank you Fran for all your advice and your knowledge! It has helped me be a healthier person (with acne still, but I am thankful to be healthy and confident, you have helped me be way less self-concious about my skin!).
Love,
Lucy

#147 Jamie on 10.10.08 at 3:45 am

I have not yet found a product that I am completely happy with but I ordered some Bee Yummy Skin Food and I am really excited to try that out! I have been looking for so long for something that will help my very oily yet dry skin. Hopefully Bee Yummy Skin Food will do the trick! And I know that this isn’t necessarily a skin product, but I have been looking so long for a chapstick that will not make me break out in painful zits along my lip line (i guess from the oils in the chapstick).

But thank you so much Fran for helping out all of us that have skin problems. The fact that you devote so muhc of your time to write blogs and help people out with acne makes you my hero because it really is a serious problem, I know that from experience! You give people like me hope that had been lost before I found your amazing website!! THANK YOU!

#148 Cate on 10.10.08 at 3:46 am

I am haing trouble finding the right skin care solution for my face; its very sensitive. i would like to try the skin care you recommend but they are a bit pricey so its hard for me to find the right cleanser and moisturizer around my local area but still found nothing, but i would like to try that bee yummy you talk about i bet that would work great for me. thank for the info on Aveeno i bought one used it once and its really dried up my skin. I thought because it said it was natural it wouldn’t dry up skin. but now i know. thank for everything and the info you fill in. Take care.

#149 Ana on 10.10.08 at 3:49 am

My favorite would have to be my mineral makeup from everyday minerals because it was my first natural skin product and its the best makeup ive ever used!

#150 Karisma Nagarkatti on 10.10.08 at 3:57 am

I have been searching for natural skincare products for my acne but the problem is that I can never get time to go to the store and buy them all. I really want a natural skincare product that cures my acne with good healthy things like honey and green tea. SO I have been doing a whole bunch of home remedy things like haldi. But my skin doesn’t seem to subside. I am looking for a natural product that doesn’t burn my eyes and is gentle. I want the product to be good for my skin rather than ruin my face. I use cetaphil I mean I love that stuff it works so well its amazing how some of my friends don’t even know what it is. I just wish that cetaphil was all natural. For my acne I use as I said before turmeric and neem powder from all these indian stores. It makes a really cooling face mask and works quite well. But if you are like me and you don’t have time to put it on every day religously your skin will fluctuate with acne and no acne if ypu know what I mean. i also like to use some of the stuff at the body shop because it is all natural. Yeah so I really want this natural skin pack because it has all the stuff I want to use. SO please fran if I don’t get it can you tell me where you got all this stuff from

#151 Julia M. on 10.10.08 at 4:01 am

I love Burt’s Bees products. I use their cleanser and facial scrub. It’s really been helpful for my acne.

#152 Jeremy on 10.10.08 at 4:02 am

I would have to say Burt’s Bees Herbal Blemish Stick. I love the way it smells and it works good.

#153 Libelle on 10.10.08 at 4:11 am

Honestly I’d have to say nothing can beat plenty of fresh water and a genuine smile! The best natural remedy for radiant skin, in my experience :)

But if I had to choose I would say both tea tree oil and Richmond Nature hemp seed oil moisturiser.

#154 Jennifer on 10.10.08 at 4:27 am

I can’t narrow my love down to one product! I have two, all natural, products that are contributing to the growing health and healing of my skin. They are manuka honey (with a UMF of 16) and baking soda. I use manuka honey as a cleanser/mask every day. It has never once irritated my skin, and since my is sensitive I find out very quickly if something will work or not. I also use it as a spot treatment for zits and on cuts and burns. Manuka honey is filled with healing properties, which has to do with honey itself being anti-bacterial and anti-viral. The Manuka oil from the flowers just pushes up the strength factor a notch. I know it will never clog my pores. I can always trust it to work its magic overnight over troublesome spots.

Baking soda is the unsuspecting gem of beauty treatments. It will burn at first, and you will think that it will do more harm than good, but persevere and you will be rewarded! I left it on as a mask for 20 minutes last night and POOF! 80% of my redness disappeared and dry skin was down by about the same. Pores were smaller and zits were retreating. It’s also an unrelenting warrior against any large zits that remain. Nothing will stand in its way.

I know that none of these products will give me a chemical ’surprise’ one day. My once oily and uneven skin tone is now normal and glowing. Your skin really needs some TLC and will respond accordingly to what you put on it. It had been telling me this for this in the form of bad skin, and only now have I listened! Both of these products have given me the confidence to wear less make-up, if any. And I haven’t done that for last 10 years.

#155 Rachel on 10.10.08 at 4:27 am

Hey there!
My favorite natural skin care product is honey! It works as an anti-inflammatory when you put it on a really red spot :)

#156 Sarah on 10.10.08 at 4:39 am

Hey…

I’m using the annemarie boerlind purifing cream at the moment. It’s okay but I’m not fully satisfied. I’m thinkin about ordering Bee Yummy Skinfood… I’ve heard so much about it. Unfortunately it’s very expensive. :(

#157 Jessica on 10.10.08 at 4:47 am

hi
My favorite skin care product is vicco tumeric cream. It improves skin health, complexion, and helps spots and pimples.
In this product there is tumeric, sandal wood oil, and i think ayurveda… its a great product

you can find this product at an indian store

#158 Sierra on 10.10.08 at 5:00 am

Hey! I am so excited that Fran is doing this contest! Not only because it would be awesome to win the prize but I love hearing what people with skin like mine have to say. I am looking forward to trying some of the products people love!

My favorite natural skin product is TEA TREE OIL!!! I got an e-mail from Fran about it and decided to try it… It worked so good for my skin. I use it as a toner every night and morning. My family noticed a difference right away and it has made me feel a lot better about my skin! To try it, just go to Frans video on Tea Tree Oil. THANKS FRAN!!!!

#159 Jennifer on 10.10.08 at 5:11 am

My favorite moisterizer so far is the bee yummy skin food product. I don’t know how its working but it is keeping me from breaking out . I used to break out every other day but now I seem to be clear so far.
I bought some online then I bought some on this site from Fran. I think all of you that read this should defenitly give it a try, I mean we all are trying to find a product that works.
Me, myself have tried so many different things in my long stuggle with acne since I was 12, 29 now.
I have spent thousands of dollars on acne products and makeup to cover up breakouts hidding these alien looking envader bumps on my face. I have noticed though that since I haven’t been breaking
out like before I haven’t been searching the net all day for a cure. I am looking for an all natural cleanser if anyone has any ideas…
THanks Jen

#160 Greg Grillo on 10.10.08 at 5:24 am

#162 Matthew F on 10.10.08 at 6:09 am

My favorite natural product is just plain old Tea Tree Oil, whether it be in a tube or liquid.
Works wonders!
Not so much for me at the moment though… :|

#163 Rhiannon on 10.10.08 at 6:16 am

My favourite natural product is the Dr Hauschka Lip Care Stick. It’s really nourishing without making my lips dependent on it, and it gives my lips a natural darker tint (not sure why) but it is great because my lips a really quite pale.
I also like Apple cider vinegar for cleaning pores and am now trying the oil cleansing method, hope to switch from sunflower oil to jojoba oil soon.

#164 Ashley on 10.10.08 at 6:16 am

I’m not sure what my favorite natural skin care product is, because it is so hard to choose one in the store. It would be great if I could find out which one is the best, because I just started breaking out. Thanks!!! <3

#165 Kathleen on 10.10.08 at 6:30 am

bee yummy is my favorite, i love it!

#166 Kristin Alda on 10.10.08 at 8:07 am

Hello! My favorite skincare product is “Wonder of the Rose” or in Icelandic “Undur rósarinnar” by Purity Herbs in Iceland. Its by far the best natural facial cream! Its 100% Icelandic nature. It heals, helps to clear and is not to heavy on the skin in essential oils. Here is the web site. The products are all great in fact. :)

http://purityherbs.is/

#167 Redpumpz on 10.10.08 at 8:16 am

I don’t really have a favorite natural product. Whenever I remember (moreso have time…), I like to use items in my kitchen. I use egg whites for my oily issues and honey for my desert days. However, my skin still needs help! :o)

#168 Lily on 10.10.08 at 9:04 am

I get my favourite skincare , believe it or not, from the Tesco supermarket (own brand). Natural, organic, fussfree, CHEAP. does what it says on the tin.

#169 EDDIE! on 10.10.08 at 9:17 am

So, i have the same name as someone else on here, haha thats funny. Um I am beggining to use Tea Tree oil, and that definitely works on blemishes, or pimples. I want to try the Bee Yummy Moisterizer. Ive basically tried everything, i have neautrogena products, Aveeno, Pro Activ, Stridex, i have bought over 30 products, and nothing worked like Tea Tree oil, but im using a moisterizer from a company called Abba. And its great. I want to buy this Vitamin C oil that you add to your moisterizer that helps heal skin, and fix any discolorations you may have.. its great.. =]]
i got the tea tree oil at the body shop, and they have a line of facial washes and moiterizers that all have tea tree oil

#170 Crystal on 10.10.08 at 9:21 am

I absolutely love Origin’s United State toner. It works great, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and it is by Origins which is suppose to be an all natural skin care line brached off of Este Lauder. The only thing in it that isn’t completely natural are the preservatives for the great extracts and of course witch hazel. It is easy to access at Target and for a great price.

#171 Jennifer on 10.10.08 at 9:24 am

My favorite natural product is witch hazel. It has helped me tons with my problem skin. Thank-you for taking the time to help us. I love your site and newsletters. The info has been invaluable to me.

#172 Ralph on 10.10.08 at 9:39 am

Hi Fran, it’s ralph from youtube. Remember?
Anyway, I love apple cider vinegar and visine drops, because of my red skin.

#173 latoya on 10.10.08 at 9:43 am

i love natural product ans i think the are the best product to usr /try i have a bad case of acne and i try alot of things and notthing work i would love to try something new i really need help.

#174 Michelle on 10.10.08 at 10:26 am

My favorite natural product is Aztec Secret (100% Natural Calcium Betonite Clay). This has significantly reduced the redness of my acne-prone skin as well as dry up many of my pimples. I apply it before I go to bed, concentrating on the affected areas of my skin & remove it when I wake up leaving me with very soft, less inflamed skin. I just love it, it really does wonders! I’ve also just started using Bee-yummy, which I apply right after I remove the clay mask… making my skin extra supple w/o the unwanted oiliness most moisturizers leave behind.

#175 Jen on 10.10.08 at 10:30 am

My fav natural product would have to be Lucas’ papaw ointment, it is fantastic as a lip balm, the put on cuts and really helps my dermatitis on my hands, also great on the face.

#176 Kelli on 10.10.08 at 10:36 am

Well i usually use an aloe vera soap that my neighbor gave me. I haven’t really found a product that did wonders for my skin, but this works pretty well. Along with all the helpful advice you give me. ^_^

#177 Ashley T on 10.10.08 at 10:41 am

what i’m looking for and really want is

1. Juice Beauty SPF 30 Mineral Light Moisturizer
2. Biovera Aloe Vera Moisturizing Cream (all organic!)
3. EG Waterproof Mosquito Repellent Bracelets (natural and safe to wear)
4. Peach flavored lip balm in a funky little round jar
5. Dr.Hauschka Rose Day Cream

#178 claudia on 10.10.08 at 10:43 am

i have tried so many different things over the years and everything works for a while but i have yet to find the ultimate combination.

#179 Katie on 10.10.08 at 10:58 am

I would have to say my favorite natural skin care product is Thayers natural remedies rose petal witch hazel (alcohol free toner). I like to use it at the end of a long day after washing my face because it gently removes any makeup or pollution that my cleanser has not removed and the fact that it is all natural and soothing is really great!

#180 Kirsten on 10.10.08 at 11:23 am

Hi Fran et al
Lovely to read through everyone’s favourites and find new ideas of things to try. In my quest for the ultimate skincare I haven’t found much so far that I like enough to want to tell people about. With one exception. Not strictly skincare perhaps but it goes on my skin. It’s Pure Cosmetics mineral makeup which I found on Australian Ebay. Had tried a couple of different mineral ones but was about to give up on them because they looked cakey and stung my skin for some reason. Then I stumbled across this one, they had cheap samples, an absolutely incredible range of colours, a natural finish and were more reasonable than other brands I’d looked. They also don’t have any of the nasties that some other ‘naatural’ versions include. Have been using it for a while now and am VERY happy with it…
Hope you’re all having a lovely day.
Xx Kirsten

#181 Stephanie on 10.10.08 at 12:38 pm

my favourite natural skin care product is Vitapur Neutral Soap with Yogurt. Its ph balanced, made of a vegetable base and yougurt. It comes unscented and it’s the most gentle bar soap I’ve ever found, I used it on my face for a while and it didn’t even seem to aggrivate my acne, now I’m onto Purity by Philosophy after hearing so much about it but I still love my yogurt soap, and it was only $1.99 at the grocery store!

#182 Brianna on 10.10.08 at 1:06 pm

Hi Fran! First of all I have to say that you have NO idea how happy I was when I discovered you and all of your info online!! I was just like wow, other people really do suffer from acne… I always feel like I am the only one in my group of friends, etc. who gets breakouts and just doesn’t have naturally clear skin, without even having to try!! But anyway, back to the subject!! haha I checked out just about every one of your videos and blogs, and when I saw how passionate you were about going all natural, I decided to slowly start to give it a try… my first change/step was to replace my astringent/toner with pure Tea Tree Oil. It does burn a bit, but I feel better knowing that it’s all natural and not some chemically-induced alcohol!! Alright, well thank you so much and “ttys!” =D

#183 Desiree on 10.10.08 at 1:07 pm

I just started doing the oil cleansing method with olive oil and castor oil. I’m not totally sure how frequent I should be doing it, or which other oils I can try (jojoba/ tea tree oil) but in general I have really enjoyed the OCM. The ritual is so peaceful and relaxing, and my skin feels so clean afterwards!

#184 lizzy on 10.10.08 at 1:25 pm

my little mixture of olive oil and popped vitamin e pills! super moisturizing, natural and good for the skin! :)

#185 Maria on 10.10.08 at 1:58 pm

Purity by Philosophy is awesome!!! It’s smells really nice and is so gentle on my skin. I have very oily/very sensitive skin with very dry patches around my chin.
I really want to try out Bee Yummy Skinfood and see what it can do in balancing my oil production.

Pick me pick me pick me as your winner!!!!!!!!! :)

#186 Betty on 10.10.08 at 3:15 pm

Hi Fran.
I like using Physican’s Formula cosmetics. I don’t exactly know if they’re natural but they’re organic. Lol.
I’m also planning to try the Oil Clensing Method. Hope it works for beautiful, healthy skin.

#187 Sarah Tan on 10.10.08 at 3:48 pm

Hey Fran,

Here’s what im looking for:
a nice moisturizer that actually moisturizes. I mean, it’s not like i don’t have some that actually work, but i need one for MY skin! Since I’m still a high school student, it’s pretty difficult to buy the skin products that want to try out without having to worry about the price too much. Though, I really do want to try one of the products (a cleanser i believe) you mentioned once: Purity by Philosophy. But the stores around Vancouver don’t sell it, and so I’d have to order it and have it shipped; which is expensive. Maybe I’m not looking hard enough for it. I’ve got combination skin and i read I’d need to treat different parts of my skin differently. That means more products. Oh Jeez… Anyways, I guess I’m just looking for something that works for me. Something that isn’t too oily, but isn’t too dry that it doesn’t moisturize. Maybe something that i can use for my ENTIRE face, so i won’t have to buy multiple products.

I guess.. in the end, I’m just posting to win your prize.
Haha, I hope whoever wins the prize uses the products as they should. Otherwise i may be tempted to steal it from them ;)

#188 Sanna on 10.10.08 at 6:17 pm

I have just bought Dr. Hauschka’s daily face care kit for oily/impure skin and it seems to be working quite nicely. I am always a little skeptical with new products because they all seem to promise way more than what they actually do for your skin, but Dr. Hauschka was interesting enough for me to try. I have heard so many good reviews about it that I have to find out if it works for me too.

#189 Lacey on 10.10.08 at 6:48 pm

hey hey! well i’m still very much in search of my favorite, but right now the ones I like the most would be, jason’s red earth cleanser, then vitamin E oil. i’ve tried aveno soaps an liked tose too, but it just never stuck as a fave. i’m a sucker for fancy labels and packaging and i’ve suffered for it..plus my skin is weird, it would def be classified as sensitive, but it goes back and forth from being ridiculously oily, to flakey and dry, also I can keep it clear for awhile, but I always break out super hardcore right before my cycle, and takes forever 2 recover from! :/ i’m 20, and like most people my age, I have a very tight budget, and unfortunately the more organic..the more pricey it seems to be! ugh! lol oh an I thought it was cute, the day the contest is over, is on my birthday! the big 2-1! :). but thank u so much for the informaion u put out…it mkes the “health world” and living as organically as possible..less overwhelming! *hugs*

Aloe vera cream ROCKS!!! This is my all time favourite, I love it because it’s so cooling and makes my spots go away.

#191 Nat on 10.10.08 at 10:20 pm

My favourite is Avon Night Care Cream for Acne Prone skin

#192 jouhara on 10.10.08 at 10:34 pm

my favorite is the lancome pure focus moisturising lotion (oil-free)

#193 Stephanie on 10.10.08 at 11:25 pm

Wow there are so many I don’t know how to pick just one! I love ACV, it’s great for exfoliating. I love Avalon Organics Vitamin C Cleansing Milk. I was using Purity Made Simple before but it was just so expensive but this works just as well in my opinion and for a lot less money! I love Everyday Minerals, it’s not as expensive as the other mineral brands and is just as good a product as the others, if not better. Giovanni 50/50 Balancing Shampoo is awesome, it cleans without all the chemicals! (YAY) My most recent favorite though is Alba Botanica Sea Lipids Daily Cream. It is light and smooth and sinks in almost immediately, it makes my makeup go on smoother and last longer and (my favorite part, in case you hadn’t noticed the trend) it’s only $8. I just can’t afford expensive products anymore — not with this economy, so I am especially grateful for products that are high quality without a high price tag. :)

#194 mishal on 10.11.08 at 12:24 am

hmmmmmmmm..wow..that is best way for me to find out soo many gud products,,which pplz r using,,

#195 Hedaya on 10.11.08 at 1:48 am

I Want to try aloe vera. I have tryed so many things for my acne, that it is expensive to keep on trying these things when I am a student. So I dont have a favorite product yet.

#196 nathalee bryan on 10.11.08 at 4:46 am

#197 Jill on 10.11.08 at 5:30 am

I think tea tree oil has become one of my favourite natural products for my skin, because it helps dry up zits and it’s antibacterial. I’m still on the lookout for my perfect cleanser and moisturizer… :)
Thanks for putting up this contest Fran!

#198 Jennifer on 10.11.08 at 6:37 am

I would love to find a natural skin care product espeically for moisturizing my feet as they get very dry in the winter. Possibly something with peppermint–maybe I’ll find a recipe to make one myself!

#199 Veronika on 10.11.08 at 7:09 am

I love the acne treatment gel from Best Bath Store. It’s all natural, and really calming to my skin. It also helps my cystic acne go down and evens out my skin tone. I’ve also been really into using a mix of tea tree oil and lavender to dry out pimples. And, I hope my sample of Bee Yummy comes in the mail soon!

#200 sucelyn on 10.11.08 at 7:38 am

hi
i dont have a faorite natural skin care product. i am currently looking for one.i want something that will not make my skin too dry or too oily and it makes my skin look nice and it has to help my skin also.so yeah i really hope i find it soon

#201 Casey on 10.11.08 at 9:44 am

I’ve really like Juice Beauty’s Hydrating Mist. I don’t use it all the time, but it’s the best for getting my skin re-hyrated, especially after a long day of sun and clorine exposure. :)

#202 Susan on 10.11.08 at 10:41 am

I’m not sure what my favorite natural treatment is, but right now, I’m waiting for some tea tree oil to come in. It doesn’t have many negative reviews, so I’m hoping it’ll work for me. :)

#203 Autumn on 10.11.08 at 12:29 pm

Hello, Fran! Thank you for your skincare tips! I have several favorite products from a line called Mychelle. The fruit enzyme scrub gently exfoliates with jojoba beads. And their incredible pumpkin peel and fruit fiesta peel are amazing. This skincare line is all natural and lovely. Although, now I’m drooling over the Bee Yummy moisturizer!!!

#204 Merisa on 10.12.08 at 12:12 am

Unfortunately I don’t have a fav skin care product coz nothing really works for me…I would love to find something that will calm down the redness and unclog my pores coz that’s my main problem..my pores are always clogged… :(
I’ve tried green clay as a mask..It’s suppose to remove all the toxins out of your skin… U can use it internally too, drink it with water every morning..No results yet…

I’ve kind of given up on cosmetics…Now I’m just trying to keep it simple and eat healthy… My skin condition is just getting worse so I’m trying to keep it as it is…even though it’s pretty bad right now I know it can be worse and I’m trying to prevent that….
Flax seed has become a big part of my diet and it’s pretty amazing….It reduces the inflammation on my skin and I found out about that after I had read some article about it here on this site so thank u so much Fran… :)

#205 butterfly on 10.12.08 at 12:24 am

Wow, Fran, that’s really nice from you - I wish I would be the lucky one! :))
So, about my favourite natural product: at the moment I would say the Akamuti’s African Black Liquid Soap, which gets rid of all the oils, and is not at all drying! I really love it. If anyone is interested: http://www.akamuti.co.uk/category/african-black-soap/.
Btw, this is a really cool way to find out what products people are using. Maybe I even discover a product that will help me clear my face. :)
Thanks again. Bye.

#206 Emily on 10.12.08 at 2:11 am

I would have to say my favorite is a whole body skin care product called Appalacian Milk Soap. It’s a local hand-made product that is real soap (not detergent) and it just feels - and smells - awesome!

#207 Pixie on 10.12.08 at 2:42 am

Have heard that products made with Capsicum peppers are good for skin, especially acne.A company called SiCap make Peppercare cream and Capsiderm skin wash but they’re only available on two US sites and the shipping is extortionate for us poor souls in the UK!
If anyone’s reading this from SiCap,please provide your products to a UK online site e.g.www.victoriahealth.com

#208 Tom on 10.12.08 at 4:54 am

I love all organics. I use purity by philosophy, it might not be totally organic but it works great for my skin. Thanks Fran for the great tips and getting my skin under control.

#209 Jonathan on 10.12.08 at 7:30 am

I am currently looking for a Glycerin Based or Sorbitol Based Soap or face wash.

#210 Charlene on 10.12.08 at 8:45 am

So far I used one of the recommendations from this site. Paula’s choice 2% bha gel,it’s not natural, but I have found that it has helped control the breakouts. which I am so greatful for.

#211 sarah on 10.12.08 at 11:04 am

I absolutely love MyChelle products. One of my favorites is their Pumpkin Peel Mask-it really helps with acne!

#212 tb_mac on 10.12.08 at 11:24 am

I really like using bi-carb soda in my cleanser as an exfoliant as well as liquid magnesia as a primer. Keeps the oil away.

#213 Chelsea on 10.12.08 at 11:39 am

I don’t have a favorite natural skin care product, but I would love a natural facial cleanser that doesn’t have any essential oils in it, doesn’t make me break out or clog my pores, doesn’t dry my skin out, and takes off my makeup.

#214 Lisa on 10.12.08 at 11:55 am

My favorite natural skin care product would have to be the herbal blemish stick by Burt’s Bees. Its ingredients include tea tree oil, eucalyptus, lemon, juniper, willow bark, and more. It is conveniently packaged in a tube with a ball on the tip to roll on the product to your blemishes. Other Burt’s Bees products work great as well such as their lip balms and hand salve which is a must during the winter time.

#215 Ashlyn on 10.12.08 at 1:02 pm

Witch hazel and tea tre oil are definetly my two favorites. They’re natural and yet so affective. They dry out the pimple but don’t dry the face badly. And they’re cheap and can be found at your local stores.

#216 wei on 10.12.08 at 3:04 pm

oh hmm. I’m a 19 year old guy and still have rather oily skin and bad acne.. after reading this site I think I’m gonna stop using my current products..
WHICH CLOGS my pores and i never kneww

my favourite thing to do is putting a green tea bag in a cup with a little bit of boiling water then adding a bit of honey and tumeric and then i just rub the teabag on my face (when it’s cooled down a bit). it brightens up my face and makes it feel fresh and soft

MiEssence Purifying Cleanser is realy good, I like the whole MiEssence oily/problem skin range, although I wish they weren’t so expensive. I also love Bee Yummy Skin Food aswell, fantastic product.

My favourite line of products has to be lavera - they make organic, all natural skin care, body care and make up, cruelty-free and paraben-free. I have found their acne range to be soothing, refreshing and gentle on my skin and I don’t find it too expensive in comparison to the average price for skin care so I would recommend their range.

On a different note these are my best tips for getting extra nutrients which will help the skin;

Spirulina algae and chlorella algae - one of natures richest source of nutrients for humans and can be bought in capsule form. These algaes would rival the content of any synthetic multivitamin and they are also absorbed much better because they are natural which means they are also not dangerous. They also have a positive effect on mood which reduces stress which aggravates acne as well as reducing appetite slightly.

Himalayan crystal salt - salt has two elements (sodium and chlorine) but this 300 million year old crystal salt has 84! Courtesy of the compression of the Himalayan mountains it has a vast amount of benifits for the body and skin when taken in water every morning such as breaking down and clearing toxins from the body which helps the skin aswell as normalizing blood pressure, releasing the energy stored in the crystals gradually and reducing cravings. It is also very healing when used in a mud mask.

Blue and red light spectrum acne lamps cost quite a bit at roughly 200 Euro ($250 US?) which you can buy online but when used everyday can be quite effective for acne and this has also been represented by research. Blue light kills the p. acnes bacterium on the face while the red light enhances the production of collagen in the skin helping it to heal quicker and reducing red marks and because it is only two colours out of the whole light spectrum there is no UV damage to the skin as you would get with tanning lamps. My personal experience is that it is a slow but sure process. I would definitly recommend it.

I know those last things were not products as such but I just thought I would pass on my best tips :)

I haven’t found anything good for my acne so far. The best I’ve used is witch hazel and tea tree + lavender oil. I’m looking for a natural skin care product that isn’t too irritating and gets rid of blackheads and minimizes the size of pores and acne bumps and scars

#222 Rita on 10.13.08 at 12:52 am

Im looking for a natural skin exfoliator, i know sugar, salt, and aspirin masks could do just the job, but im looking for one jus like my ”ginerva green tea marvel gel”, which is a emollient and exfoliating gel which works wonders by not having anything grainy but a soft gel which, ‘disintergrates and removes dead skin cells and blackheads gently’. It would be wonderful if there was 100% natural product out there which isnt grainy and you can also see visible results while using it, Which is what the marvel gel does- you can actually see the cornifies dead skin cells being removed. thanks for reading.

My favourite product to use on my skin is Olive Oil. I love it! It really helped cure my bout of whiteheads and stubborn pimples and leaves my skin wondefully soft and smooth.

Have several all natural favorites. I recommend the green clay mask with cucumber as demonstrated on Fran’s video. I also like lavender and licorice extract in organic aloe vera gel for calming and healing effects.
I also highly recommend green or white tea intake, raw foods (veggies/fruits/healthy nuts), and drinking filtered water.
One thing I DO NOT recommend is the olive oil or sweet almond oil cleansing method. I have several people who have tried the oil cleansing method and have had severe acne breakouts following their use.
Enjoyed reading everyone’s tips and comments.
Would love to sample and share your treat bag!

#225 ElizabethC "longtime Fran fan" on 10.13.08 at 10:55 am

YES to: raw foods, green clay mask with cucumber, filtered water and aloe moisturizer

NO to: almond and olive oils (can be comedogenic!)

Thanks to everyone for their tips and comments! Would live to try the Bee Yummy.

My favorite facial wash is Thoroughly Clean Face Wash from Desert Essence because it is natural. I love it because I was amazed when I read the back of the bottle and all of the ingredients were natural, I could actually read and pronounce them all! I didn’t know I could find such a product, so many natual products say say they are but have at least artificial product (As Fran has said) I love the smell and how my skin feels afterwards. I have not tried other 100% natural products because I cannot afford an all natual skin care. Thanks Fran for being genuine and trying to help all of us with problem skin.

Well I just started using “Liz Earle” products and i for sure love them.

#228 Iliana on 10.13.08 at 1:43 pm

Ilsci Organic Skincare are the best products I have used. Not cheap, but you dont need to use a lot, so they last a long time. Best advice I was given was to massage the product into your skin, giving it enough time to penetrate. No point, applying and washing it straight off. Waste of Time and Money. And anyone who wants advice on EPO. USE IT, It is Fantastic!!

My favorite natural product is Burt’s Bees. They have loads of different things besides chapstick, like body wash, face wash, blemish stick, moisturizer, etc. Plus, they work great.

Hi Fran… Actually after reading your post, i started to wash my face with water ONLY. Thanks to you, my acne started to heal…. it didn’t heal 100% though… maybe around 25%… I didn’t really used moisturizer as I have acne and oily type skin… However, I did look for the bee yummy product that you have recommended but i can’t find it at any pharmacy… I also been looking for suitable eye mask as i have eye bags and dark circle under my eyes… Oh yeah… i also been looking for the Rosa T product… but i can’t find it anywhere… I read that its natural and it can heal acne and acne scars… the reviews for the product also nice…. here’s the commercial…

—–> what i feel about my eye and skin problem…
I always feel insecure when other people staring at me like i’m a total freak or something… Some of my friends at school call me panda eye, owl and raccoon… too many nick name eh? sometimes they even make fun of me bcause of my acne… at one point, i even cry.. why me? but now, i didn’t really think about it too much anymore…. its not that it doesn’t matter… but i realize that there are many other things that matter… and one quote that can keep me smiling all day is either u are happy or sad about it, u still need to face it.. so, why not face it happily instead of facing it sadly right? hope i can win these prizes!
thanks for everything fran!

Beeswax Lip Balm has to be my favorite too!

#232 Greta on 10.13.08 at 7:43 pm

My favourite natural skincare line is miessence, their products are beautiful. I especially love their mineral makeup, the liquid and the powder.. Its skincare disguised as makeup! LOVE IT. Thanks Fran, Greta

#233 Alison on 10.13.08 at 8:50 pm

I love tea tree oil and lavender oil. They both work so well to keep my skin clear and also treat pimples when I get them. I usually mix a drop of either one into my cleanser. Also, not picking!

#234 ray on 10.14.08 at 1:24 am

havent really found a one that works extremely well but tea tree oil for me is best so far, bath and body. i have a diluted gel, toner, and night fade cream for blemishes. it might work better fro other people, but for me its workin i guess but not at the speed i’d want it to

#235 Tegen on 10.14.08 at 2:33 am

As well as getting spots on my face, I get big red ones on my legs too. I have recently moved house and I don’t have a bath anymore. I am missing my baths with SEA SALT in the water, it seemed to clear up my spots on my legs a lot quicker. I also use an exfoliator with cocoa butter in it on my legs for the scars and put tea tree on the spots too. So I would say SEA SALT is a fav natural skin care product.

I also love putting ‘bicarbonate of soda’ in my cleanser to make in an exfoliant, and I have been using ‘Bee Yummy Skin Food’ for 5 days now, and like everyone else, I love it. Thanks for finding this Fran.

#236 Elizabeth C on 10.14.08 at 3:44 am

Love the aloe vera as a moisturizer and topical healing balm. Have experimented lately with organic honey but I would love to try the Bee Yummy that everyone is raving about.

I give high support to the green face mask with cucumber per Fran’s video. I also promote to patients the increase in raw veggies and fruits, filtered water, and less refined sugar in the diet.
thanks to Fran I have been snacking on Cacoa products also!
Thanks to everyone for their responses and comments as I think they are interesting and helpful.
I vote for more “goody bag samplers” in the future if any of these vendors will support it.

Don’t have a favorite natural skin care product yet…on the search for a good natural facial moisturizer that suits my extremely oily and acne-prone skin.

#238 Amy on 10.14.08 at 6:01 am

I haven’t yet tried natural skincare products (I’ve been using Philosophy products and prescriptions) but right now I am waiting for my sample of Bee Yummy Skinfood. I can’t wait to give it a try on my dried out skin.

#239 juanita on 10.14.08 at 7:04 am

i have just started using mychelle products and so far i really like them. i ecspecially like the pumpkin renew cream.

#240 Amber on 10.14.08 at 8:36 am

Honestly I always get so overwhelmed by all of the products out there. I have tried things like tea tree oil and oatmeal lotion, but I’ve not had much success with natural products. I really struggle with dry skin and right now I’m using Mary Kay moisturizer. It’s good, but I would like to find a better natural product.

#241 chris on 10.14.08 at 9:24 am

i am looking forward in using aloe vera because i heard it gently calms your skin.

#242 Elizabeth Trinh on 10.14.08 at 10:10 am

I’d say my all time favorite skin care product would be the live-live& organic bee yummy skin food. I found out about that product through your youtube video. You really did sound like an advertiser, but what the heck I went for it anyways. I was really hesitant for the price range, but I had hope. Ive been using the product for over 2 1/2 weeks and holymoly my skin has improved so much. I couldn’t believe it, I am really self-conscience about my skin. Sometimes when I break out I would just hide from everybody because im so embarrassed. But knowing that my skin is healing as I wear this light moisturizer fills me with confidence. I love how you raved about the product and now im advertising it to all of my friends. I am so glad i stumbled across your video, because right now im in my happiest state even though my skin isn’t as great as i’d like it to be. But over time it will heal slowly, thanks to this wonderful moisturizer!

#243 Sarah Carroll on 10.14.08 at 2:08 pm

I really like my Purify Tangerine Sugar Scrub from Trader Joe’s. It gives me very smooth, sweet-smelling skin with every use. Best of all, it is not tested on animals, nor does it contain any animal products.

#244 sonali rastogi on 10.14.08 at 4:19 pm

i love clay pack. it absorbs oil from my very oily skin without over drying it and leaves the skin fresh and clean. it also help reducing the redness and the irritation, and also helps in closing the pores.
i love it, and its the only thing which helps me not to feel uncomfortable by my skin and go out

#245 Maria on 10.15.08 at 12:19 am

my fav product is bee yummy skin food…. leave my skin very soft and smell very good!!!

#246 Naz on 10.15.08 at 1:21 am
